My children love watching your videos again and again. My little boy said, "When I grow up, I'm gonna be like Shoo Rayner." You're a real inspiration to them. Thank you for sharing your videos. I should subscribe to your Patreon. I promise, I will. More blessings to you.
I've been watching your videos because I recently have been interested in drawing simple stick fantasy character scenes. I wanna draw stick figures casting magic and stuff just for fun and try to incorporate dynamic magic battles with stick figures. Aside from that, as I've said in another video, you're so relaxing!
pretty cool, i did what you suggested, i drew stick men for a couple of weeks, just drew them in different poses, no problem, it was a natural transition to go to mannequins, a stickman with joints, so i'll stay on mannequins for a few weeks/months, i'll go though all your lessons on mannequins, then on to the next logical progression in learning to draw, what would you suggest, i am learning i can't skip steps in learning to draw, ...to help me with proportions, i made up a clear screen grid, i took a big sheet of 10 mil mylar and drew a 1 inch grid, with a fine line black sharpie, i put this on my monitor, i also made a 1 inch grid which i placed under my drawing paper, i found this really helps me see the proportions, in time i won't need this aid, sure does help me see the proportions. i can translate what i see on the screen onto my paper, pretty darn accurately, ......... thanks again for the videos................ jhg
Thank you for everything, for so long I've put off learning how tob2draw because, I can't create illustrations out of my own imagination. My proportions are always wrong, but because of your video I feel my passion rekindling a bit.
Shoo, thank you for doing these videos. The sheer delight you take in creating even the simplest of drawings is infectious. It's Christmas day, and I'm feeling kind of bummed out, but I can watch a couple of your videos and they make me smile. I'm gonna take a little time to draw some stick figure mannequins and forget about everything else for a little bit :) Thank you again, and I hope your holidays are happy ones.
@@shooraynerdrawing i used to read a book that is called drawing on the right side of the brain and keys to drawing i am not done reading all but i find some information in there that might be able to aid me in drawing.
I was just wondering if you could wander a question of mine I have the same watercolour set as you and I have proper paper for it and I always seem to get gritty bits in it :)

Do i have to learn shapes before i can start drawing.
No just pick up a pencil and go. - shapes are something you can learn along the way at the same time. just do it :)
@@shooraynerdrawing oh so when you are breaking down and simplifying a object or a person can shapes be used
@@shooraynerdrawing when i draw i have an habbit of drawing from my imagination but it does not end up well sometimes.
