This is so great, I used to just draw stick figure comic books, but then I started moving towards blocky characters, now I can start to draw shading and wrinkles on pretty detailed figures.
Except action, for some reason, I can't draw two in the same frame, but this has helped a lot, thank you so much! :D

Two in the same frame is much harder - you have to get the"physics" right to get them to interact - I'll have a think about that.

Hi it's great seeing this, as i used to always draw with stick figures whenever i wanted to capture movement that had a genuine and natural feel. When i was younger i used to draw all the time. Most days i would find some moment to sketch, doodle, draw, whether for 10 mins or 5/6 f whenever i sit down to attempt to draw i find i have little inspiration and also it is true when they say if you don't use it you lose it.. aand it just seems so much harder what used to come so naturally.. i loved seeing your video just now however and i actually feel a little bit inspired by your work,, so thanks a lot for sharing

Man I watched Shoo to learn how to draw stuff for a fourth grade project. I haven’t watched one of his videos in forever, but I loved this one.

This video is wonderful Shoo! Great idea to go back to basics with the stick figures. I always have problems drawing people that look too stiff. Now I can practice with magazines photos and make them look more realistic.

Hello! I recently quit my job to pursue art full time. I’m interested in mainly illustrating children’s books, but have had a difficult time figuring out how to get there. I’ve tried pitching to agents, and that didn’t go anywhere. Right now I’ve decided to just work on my own story, and hopefully pitch that to some agents in the near future. If you have any tips on creating a better portfolio, or just how to do the work to get to the final destination I would love to hear it! At the beginning of this journey I’m finding its very difficult to find a starting point to go from.

I guess the standard advice is don't give up the day job! Do you live in the UK? Even here in the UK its a constantly changing situation. Do you know about SCBWI? www.scbwi.org/
They will be able to help you a lot and you'll meet lots of like-minded people Good luck
