IT'S AFTERLIFE VOLUME 2 TIME. ► What are you guys making of the the compilation overall? ► Which tracks of the 9 are your picks, and why? 🤔 Drop all your thoughts in the comments, and enjoy the vid! 💙💙
Not in any particular order but here are my top 3: Ray Volpe - What You Need: Title doesn’t lie, this is what you need. While it is kind of a generic future bass song, it packs the most energy in the entire comp by a long shot. Sxth Sns - Origami: This is one of the cleanest songs ever created, my god. And to know that they’re only 15 years old blows my mind. Devath - Essence Access: This one was the one I was hyped for the most, knowing this guy went from zero to hero in just a year. And they did not disappoint for sure; that minimal bell-like style definitely works wonders. Ngl this sounds like something from Windows. Gotta honorably mention Chime for the unique approach, as well as Convexity for being another zero-to-hero artist and packing quite a bit of energy.
1:29: Chime - Lost Limerence 4:49: Convexity - Synergy 8:34: Devath - Essence Access 12:55: Blosso - I have something to tell you 16:20: Ray Volpe - What You Need 20:20: sxth sns - Origami 24:25: Dead love - Magic Bite, Trixy 28:20: Know You - Jitterclick, Mikesh!ft 31:37: Memories - Automhate
My favourite part of this comp is that it feels like all the artists here have put out some of their best songs theyve ever made. Every single track in this comp is the artist putting their absolute best foot forwards, and it comes off as impassioned and endlessly creative. Amazing comp
Personally, I don't think a song *needs* to be groundbreaking in some area in order to be absolutely incredible. Great production, melodies, sound design - I think that's all that's needed. For that reason, Devath's track is my favourite, with me also really enjoying Blosso, Chime, Jitterclick/Mikesh!ft, Automhate, and sxth sns.
Thanks for another upload! Feels so great to hear someone elses thoughts on the genre. I’m from Denmark, and dubstep isn’t the most popular genre here, so i dont know Many people i Can discuss Music with, or even Hear that take on new tracks. It’s great to hear someone Express their feelings on a genre that i love so much.
I feel like dubstep, or even EDM as a whole has lost most of it's popularity everywhere. I'm in the U.S. and can't even find like minded music listeners.
@@simeonnischith6075 I don't really think that has anything to do with it, at least for me personally. I rarely stay up to date with any artists or labels, I just can't find anyone with similar tastes in general, new music or old.
@@Fenom007 i Wish there were more indepth communities to discuss new releases and the direction of dubstep! All I Can find are are Facebookgroups from Latinamerica, and i only speak danish and english 🤷♂️ kinda hard to discuss anything in that situation lmao
I was massively excited to hear that Afterlife was getting another instalment and this one didn’t really disappoint. I think this one kinda stuck to a more calm and laid back theme in comparison to the first and it truly is a beautiful compilation of songs in that respect. Overall I also think that had just a bit more consistency to its quality and each tune had something to appreciate about it. As for my favourites, I’d probably have to go with Automhate - Memories, SXTH SNS - Origami and Chime - Lost Luminescence
Dead love by magic bite n trixy reminds me a beat made by pegboard nerds many years ago called emoji... dunno why but this came up first in my mind tho!
To me, origami was the only track that truly felt like 'future riddim', the others were honestly lacking on the riddim department, sounded just like late 2010s generic future free dls.
Genuine question though, why do the tracks have to be future riddim? If you go back to the first comp it wasn't completely future riddim or melodic riddim, there was also colour bass for example. Not every comp has to be riddim oriented

Great track! Had the best on vol. 1, and second best on this one. Very good stuff.
I think this comp's goal was more to be a chill thing rather than a melodic in your face full on compilation like vol. 1.
It’s like Rushdown more than Disciple

i probably wouldve liked devath's if i hadnt already heard his aelotion pulse
Seeing Blosso improve with every track makes my heart happy.
I can’t stop listening to essence access
dude same
Still listening to it today
I’m just so happy disciple didn’t just make it a 1 vol comp and just called it a day
Knights of the Round Table (Vol. 4)
Alliance (Vol. 6)

Thank you for supporting Blosso and all the other artists in your management space!
Dead Love is amazing
But Memories is probably my favourite song at the moment, i cant stop playing it
I was very excited for you to do a review of this vol.
Same aha
Devath is insane
Heavily Agree
It’s like if Porter and Tennyson made a riddim track, it’s sooo good 😭
Man went from zero to hero just by getting that EP on Full Flex Audio. That label is beyond goated
Yeah his song Aeolian Pulse goes especially hard

Doesn't come close to Vol. 1 imo, but still a very nice compilation. My favs so far are the Chime and the Blosso tune.

REVIEW BANDLEZ - HOT PURSUIT Pt1 & Pt2 PLEASE!
the ray volpe track gave me some heavy zach the lad nostalgia

How did the Automhate song not sound like future riddim though?
