11 most dramatic Goodwood Hill runs | Festival of Speed 2021

- On the Hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard in 2021 we had everything from F1 stars to drifting, rally cars to motorbikes. Some cars ran timed in the hunt for the shootout, some ran in Driftkhana hoping to win sliding glory, and some just went all out for some fun. These were some of the most dramatic runs of the weekend.

Having the speed up on the screen as the car made the run would be informative. The Mini was most entertaining!

These aren’t the shootout runs so it’s totally useless info. The f1gtr wasn’t in the shootout this year and the Porsches shootout run was faster but not as mad as the one shown
Honestly it would be useless info because speed is constantly changing and it would be hard to catch speed numer at the moment so... Not a worthy info after all...
The Cheetah sounded amazing
Hope to see Travis in more upcoming events, his run was so much fun to watch

Great to see Nick Swift pedalling the mini to a great time. And Travis Pastrana really 100% on it, no wasting time blinking either! 😊
That mini is very impressive just shows what a great team, car and driver can do, this my 15th time watching it!!

Out of all of these, I'm happiest that the Cheetah got some coverage. It's probably the gnarliest, manliest car out of all of these vehicles. 1750 pounds of lightweight tube chassis and fiberglass, powered by a small block Chevrolet, putting down the power through a four-speed manual that's directly coupled to a C2 Corvette IRS because of how far back the engine is pushed. 90" wheelbase. The vehicle was run at Daytona, and it's recorded that the reason why one original Cheetah was turned into a roadster (Cro-Sal Special) because the doors blew off the vehicle at over 200mph.

For some of these having a double box or picture-in-picture to enjoy both onboard and trackside views simultaneously would be a joy. But thank you for these compilations, they're a lot of fun!
The Elva looked uncooperative the whole way up the run. You want to turn, it wants to understeer, you want to accelerate, it wants to spin the tyres. Great job by the driver keeping it pointed in the right direction
Yeah,. seemed like all sorts of electronics were disagreeing with the driver,.
@@TheWisdom3 I think it was more just a case of rubbered-in wet tarmac, road tyres and a lot of power

The worst one I think is that Mustang Mach E that ford keep sending up. I almost feel sorry for the driver that's lumbered with it...
Kenny Brack and Travis Pastrana were awesome. Brack trying to get a hold of the car with cold tyres on a wet track, the rear of the car was all over the place, and yet he tried as hard as he could to get some grip on the track. Travis was very fast, really focused on his lines and speed.

Respect the skill of all of these drivers- not really into the drifting- amazing car control... but seems like more fluff than substance to me. The Mini was the best- he was KILLING!!!!
Yes, amazing car conrol for sure; the dance at the traction limits and beyond. But I'm not really a fan either.
There's not really enough room for the drift cars to perform so it turns into more of an elongated burnout and a test of the cooling capabilities of the engine. It's kind of like trying to rag a modern F1 car round a go-kart track, it'll make all the noises but it's never really getting into the performance window where it's supposed to work best.
I think the engine builder of the S15 deserves a medal. The length of time sitting on WOT and the rev limiter was crazy. Also just as he is disappearing round wall area you see the back end really snap as his speed is up. He handled that superb. I'm not really a drift guy either as I prefer GO than smoke but I still think that his run was insane.
The elva was driven on the limit of grip the car control was insane
Everything was absolutely amazing but that S15 STOLE it for me!!! What a run, almost whole track burnout!!!
That Chevrolet Cheetah NEEDS to be introduced into a sim. If I could have chosen any car to be a passenger in, it would have been the Cheetah.
If I could drive just one of those cars, it would be the Mini, hands down, no contest.

Rod Millen's Tacoma and Nick Heidfeld in the record-setting McLaren MP4/13 are both glaring omissions from this list. I nearly fell asleep watching Kenny Brack amble his way up the course!

Both Joerg Weidinger and Mike Skinners runs from '18 were more dramatic than 95% of these. Strange selection
