"Some people can't be dealt with. They can't be bargained with. They don't want your money, your food, your water, they don't want love. Some people just want to see the world burn"
David probably grew up and set fire to an animal shelter while simultaneously setting off bombs in a children's hospital. Then when his wheelchair bound elderly mom confronts him, he says "Sorry mom". Then his Karen mom hugs him while going off on the shelter and hospital for allowing it to happen, before demanding to speak to the manager and CEO.
@@alwaysannoyedforever518 And only David survived. An explosion like that would have killed a man. But David is no man. He is chaos incarnate. His mom lived in blissful ignorance of his deeds. Maybe it was the beer goggles. Maybe it was the trauma and years of physical therapy after the incident a decade ago that broke her. She had convinced herself that David could do no wrong. She always defended him at the court trials, always bailed him out, and this was all she got in return. You get what you pay for. As she smelled her cooking flesh, her nerve endings completely toasted, she mustered all her strength to turn her head and face her son. Hey vision was blurry, but for a moment, for a brief moment, the devil appeared to smile back at her from the flames. If she could move, she'd pray for forgiveness, but she realized that nothing could forgive her for what she brought unto the world. With her final strained gasps, she whispered... "Why, David, why?"
This video brought back a childhood memory for me that for me was already forgotten years ago. As a child, I thought of No David as the story of a problem child, a little rebel who didn't care about rules or manners and played victim when he gets caught. But now I realize that we have upon thousands of people who act like David but as adults. David is also a pretty creepy character with his pitch black mouth, his black dot eyes, and also the creepy and uncanny art style he exists in. I am sure the artist behind No David had a somewhat grim taste in illustrating.
David convinces everyone he's a figment of your imagination until he strikes at the most unforseen time to commit the most ungodly crimes that not even the Eclipse could handle
Good thing David didn’t grow up to be a serial killer. Instead, he grew out of it and laughed at his childish behavior. Wanting to entertain kids, he wrote a book. And that is what you read.
Let me tell you the things he does: He tries to get the cookies. He ran into the house looking dirty. He had a bath with water running on the floor. He ran away naked. He got home and played loud music. He played with his food. He talked and yelled while he was eating. He was then forced to go to his room. He jumped up and down on his bed. He refused to put his toys away. He picked his nose. He broke his parents vase. He got sent to the corner crying. His mother tells him to come here and tells him she loves him. That was No David by the way.
Book 2 David Goes to School: Shows up to class late Makes Funny Faces in math class Chews Gum in Class and reads porn in English Forgets to Raise his hand Sexually Harasses a Student in art class Does hardcore Drugs in Science class and trips out and hallucinates a face, a dinosaur & a car Cuts in line at lunch & commits a hate crime aganist black people and indigenous people of America Starts a food fight and a war in Africa Plays after recess Blasts GWAR at the library Has to use the bathroom again (as a way to make another world domination) Vandalizes school property (which shows his world domination plan) Cleans up after it (the only good thing he did in the entire goddamn series which may I remind you was his fault) Gets a star Goes home to plan to overthrow the president Wow the teacher is as much of a doormat as his mom expel him not sentence him to community service
And whats worse, David is based on the author. David isn't just a boogeyman that haunts our nightmares, he haunts the streets in irl! He is out there writing tell all books detailing his war crimes. We have hunt David Shannon and make him pay for his crimes! Also he out of every author I have ever read has given me the most nightmares, I have read Coraline, goosebumps and scary stories to tell in the dark, hunger games, Fahrenheit 451, pinnocchio, etc but the most scariest book I have read is Stripes written by David himself. The last few pages are horrifying!!! All coming out of David's twisted minds!
I'm sorry for bringing this up but seeing this triggers me. IRL stands for in real life so when you say in irl you're saying in in real life. Its like saying ATM machine but the M in ATM stands for machine.
David:*Terrorizes minorities, commits the most heinous war crimes that made even kanye jelous, keeps people in his basement, evades taxes* David:i'm sorry Mom:I love you David
David being sent to time out only to be taken out without him learning his lesson reminds me of one of Kratos' boat stories that he tells his son, Atreus, in God of War. Kratos: There was a young man who was caught stealing and condemned to die. His mother came to visit his prison. She was a kind woman, who could only give love. But her son, the thief, met her with rage and bit off her ear. Atreus: What! Why? Kratos: Because the boy had always been a thief. And his mother had taught him only love, and nothing of consequences. Had he been taught discipline instead, he might have lived longer. Atreus: Sure, but… her ear… that’s not right.
This an old Iraqi story, “he who steals an egg today, steals a camel tomorrow” except in this version the son bites his mother’s tongue off of all things. Because she always encouraged him and never used her tongue to discipline him
As a kid I feared David and I never understood the reason for making this character because I think it just reinforces children's bad behaviour. I still don't get it as an adult.
When my class read these books as kids, we all kind of saw him as relatable to ourselves or to our classmates. I remember a time that David did something and the whole class went "Yeah that's just like ____!" The teacher would ask us how we felt whenever david did something wrong and it didn't encourage us to do bad things, if anything we looked down at him 😭. We weren't scared of him,we just thought he was kind of dumb.
Wait this video has an n word do you guys have the n word pass (or maybe you're black so you can say it), or since your son is a teenager he has now the permission of bad words No racism intended.
My toxic trait is believing that we all one day can come to understand and sympathize with each other knowing that through all adversities, we're all still human
The biggest issue with parenting is parents not letting children suffer for their own mistakes. They don't even need to do anything, they just need to stop treating their children like little princes and princesses and saving them from their own idiocy. Punishing a kid doesn't do much compared to "I told you so"
I think the intended lesson is that it's best to forgive others, and that your parents will always love you. But David definitely should've been punished more.
To simplify this, David committed the following: 1x 1st degree murder 1x Assault 1x Disturbance 3x Indecent exposure 5x Vandalism Feel free to correct me
I feel like there's only 2 paths for David after the books whenever he becomes an adult. He either has a complete character arc and becomes one the kindest people as a way to basically atone for being a criminal of a child and presumably teenager, or he becomes a sociopath who manipulates and abuses everyone around him to get what he wants until karma eventually kills him.
These books were read to the entire class by my kindergarten teacher, I'm convinced she was training us to be elite soliders that can commit war crimes without question, just like David. David was our influence and our idol. Hail David.
This video has unlocked a memory I completely forgot about. During 2nd grade, a student brought in one of the No David books for a group readings teachers would do sometimes. Well, midway through the book, she paused on the page and essentially said, "Sorry class, we can't read this anymore" and she told the student to never bring in this book again. I remember being so confused and finding David's soulless black eyes (overall the artstyle) creepy lol
There used to be a poster at the library for a “supervillain” section of the kids books. It had Dr. Octopus, the shark from Bad Guys, and David on it right above both of them.
"One man allegedly went too far when he was told his Little Caesar's pizza was not hot and ready. Pulling an Ak 47-" i shouldn't have laughed as much as i did at that
I’ve had two encounters with David saying his name makes me shiver in fear… in the first encounter he left me with one arm and no legs, and during the second encounter he stole my kidney and slit my wrist. I always fear him even though I’m under witness protection every time I think of him I tremble in fear and can’t walk. I’m lucky to be alive…
Wanted to add on this real quick. Faking emotion to get out of trouble No regard for anyone else's belongings or well being Only tells the truth when it benefits himself
i actually remember this series now, i think i suppressed it in my head but now you've brought it back, im going to start having nightmares terrors again, thanks

It has been a while since I found an actually funny RUclipsr. Keep it up, homeboy.
Who both tragically died in the bombs and fires.

Gosh, I remember reading these books when I was a kid. But, looking back, David exhibits all the warning signs of a future serial killer.
Good thing David didn’t grow up to be a serial killer. Instead, he grew out of it and laughed at his childish behavior. Wanting to entertain kids, he wrote a book. And that is what you read.

“-he was told his little Caesars pizza was NOT hot and ready; pulling an AK47-“ is a crazy quote
Because she always encouraged him and never used her tongue to discipline him
Yeah like don’t beat your kids but it’s ok to say no to them.

As a kid I feared David and I never understood the reason for making this character because I think it just reinforces children's bad behaviour. I still don't get it as an adult.
When my class read these books as kids, we all kind of saw him as relatable to ourselves or to our classmates. I remember a time that David did something and the whole class went "Yeah that's just like ____!"
The teacher would ask us how we felt whenever david did something wrong and it didn't encourage us to do bad things, if anything we looked down at him 😭. We weren't scared of him,we just thought he was kind of dumb.
It’s a book about adhd. The author had it and he wrote it about his childhood
Holy shit. I bought these books for my son, David, when he was a toddler. He's now 16 and just sent me this video. I'm dying!
I know your son
Wait this video has an n word do you guys have the n word pass (or maybe you're black so you can say it), or since your son is a teenager he has now the permission of bad words
No racism intended.
My toxic trait is believing that we all one day can come to understand and sympathize with each other knowing that through all adversities, we're all still human
I used to find these books funny as a kid, and now I know why teachers didn't like the book... it endorsed pure evilness
The biggest issue with parenting is parents not letting children suffer for their own mistakes. They don't even need to do anything, they just need to stop treating their children like little princes and princesses and saving them from their own idiocy. Punishing a kid doesn't do much compared to "I told you so"
"bet you won't do that shit again"
Good times man
I think the intended lesson is that it's best to forgive others, and that your parents will always love you. But David definitely should've been punished more.
Not to mention, it seems like his parents weren't consistent with the punishments either.
Fr, the next time he's running around but-ass naked in public, I'd tell that bitch to say the bruises were from his baseball and bat.

Then there’s the bad seed, a book where the titular baddie eventually won and got away with anything. Shiver Me Timbers!
He became an author for children’s books.
Bro becomes fucking Johan Liebert

I grew up "No David" and "David goes to school", but wow I didn't know there were more David books until now
This video has unlocked a memory I completely forgot about.
