Keeping your squishy unites away from terrifying ballistae, getting harassed by long range enemy staffs, big squads of single enemy types, sending your flying units alone to take on the boss... yep, it's a Thracia map alright.
Oh yes. They captured the madness of that game as well as they could given all the broken stuff modern games give you ability-wise :) I love this game so much.
@@UltimaterializerX you say that like Thracia doesn't give you some of the most broken tools in the series. In a game where pretty much no enemies can handle magic damage, they give you the two best tomes the franchise has ever seen. Plus status staves, thief staff, the ability to capture, infinite range warp staves that get thrown at you constantly in the mid game, Sety, and scrolls. Only thing it's missing is FE3 Anew, which was the single best tool in FE history
They both take place in the same continent, though! Which means if they remake FE4 first, then FE4.5 second, then it’s going to be more convaluted than before!
Waiting for a remake, we need a modern/officially translated version for sure. Excited to play it eventually tho, just from heroes/engage i like leif and i really like his modern designs, i use his armor on my alear.

I also heard that the game actually came with an instruction video to watch, so it seems to me as though that was the intended way. I plan to play it soon so I am curious to hear your perspective. I know Mekkah made a video on it, I might check that out before I play.
Nothing felt more satisfying than having Diamant pair with Ike, then tanking almost ten enemies with Great Aether and watching the retribution unfold after on this map.
now im imaging leif getting added to smash as a roy clone (instead of a counter he swaps swords to the different elemental swords in thracia) and this playing as his trailer theme
All things considered, given Leif's sheer versatility I'm disappointed he got replaced by Roy. Fire's cool and all, but Leif would be a far better representative of what Fire Emblem really is, rather than just plucky, cheerful swordsman. A brash, hotheaded prince with a chip on his shoulder. One minute he's helping you talk down your bully, and the next he's gouging his eyes out with his thumbs. Really wish more people could appreciate Leif as a character

I think I heard one time that Leif was going to be in Melee, but Roy was chosen instead to promote Binding Blade.
