OMG I haven't seen this part yet! I've actually watched so many parts before and thought that her mother was so unfair already. Seeing this clip made me even more upset.

Honestly just...heartbreaking for Niao Niao. Her mother should be grateful that her daughter decided to forgive her in the end.

I've seen parts of parts of it I really enjoy this drama. It took a lot of guts for her to forgive her mother but I personally would never wanted to ever have a relationship with that woman😢
I like better what Cheng Shaogong did to the old maid in the novel. Its a satisfying revenge. And how the father react after he learned what happened before. I thought the father is funny but in the novel, he is a serious man who dotted on his daughter.

When General Cheng learned what happend, he really bring a knife and looked for the 2 maids and planned to skin then alive. He was really really angry for Niaoniao

@@Lani34 true! That’s what I said to myself also. Why they didn’t include this. And also, now I understand why the Wan family doesn’t want Qiqi be married to the Cheng household. It was not explained clearly in the tv show. But they are a great family in the novel with so much sympathy to Cheng household.
When literially everyone else is telling you are wrong and playing favorites and you still want to proceed vs admit you wrong.
This scene so hurts too much. One is always accused of bad behavior while the other is favored for her obedience and timidness. One has Her mother to teach her proper, the other has her mother leave her behind to go fight a war while she is left to an aunty that is jealous and treats her badly. One is treated as a treasure while the true daughter is treated as a cunning disobedient girl that needs a general's hard hand to break and shape like a soldier🥺💔Lady that's Your blood and all you see is her behaving bad when in truth she is trying to survive in the world you left her in. All are pitiful to an extent but Mom needs to understand that your guilt you may have for listening to your idiot of a SIL is your own doing. Yor daughter was expecting for you to pull her into your arms to feel that motherly love she has Not had since you left. You madam are a mother at home not the general in the battlefield. You know you are being played but you want to only punish your daughter for everything but save face for your niece🤔🤔say what😳only when she leaves do you regret. NN is so hurt and you see it as she holds back her tears but Mom wants to ensure that before all she has the power to punish but the bad one is her daughter. You made the servants see that they don't need to worry because they will not be punished. Lady is so wrong to do that. If wrong is wrong, then they are to be punished. YY is innocent while NN is not so only NN and her maid are the ones to be punished. You made that old lady gloat and believe she is free from any wrongdoing. Wow mom is so fair, Not

I just finished watching Hidden Love that I forgot how she was sooo cruel here towards Niao Niao.. this drama had some tweaks and didn’t entirely portray the novel, but I think it’s because they want the viewers’ sympathy towards NN for not getting enough justice..and to make people understand and support NN going rebellious and all..
Edit: this is still the best cdrama I’ve watched..all the characters are perfect, I mean every character portrayed his/her role so well..
I know everyone hates her mom, but I see the mom just choosing the wrong method of teaching. She comes seeing her as this young lady that needs to be tamed, but forgets that her child has never been nurtured. It’s quite sad seeing try to do what she thinks should help, but is just choosing the wrong method. So I have frustration and pity for the mother not angry or hatred.
