They should done a renovation before they opened Frozen Ever After. It would’ve saved most of the ride’s downtime and,there wouldn’t be this much breakdowns and evacuations for the ride and,they would have happy customers who could enjoy the ride experience.
I've gotta give it to the engineers for making the animatronics still seem "life-like" even when the ride breaks down. Normally (back then), once they turn off/"pause" the ride, the animatronics shut off, no movement at all. But with better developed technology over the years, they are able to "keep the magic alive" even when a ride breaks down, even if it's just something simple as some movement and even blinking eyes.
If they made a new version when the boats freeze it will be like this: Olaf:You come to a stop. So, maybe it was Marshmallow. Stay in your seat while I'll fix it. Olaf: All fixed! Now let's continue the trip to Elsa's castle! (laughs)
When I was five I got stuck on splash mountain I was a little scared getting on it and it was our first ride and I was afraid of the animatronics I yelled and screamed because we got stuck at the end where the ducks were and they weren't blinking and then they stopped and just stared at me then they started doing something else they were like punching someone or something

Sorry but these are not animatronics. Animatronics use air,oil,water to move. these guys use motors that makes them robots this was the first all electric ride with no animatronics... Witch in fact makes them more accurate.
I think the designers forgot to add a weight scale on the loading platform and hefty riders crash the computer along the rides path. Too much weight in one boat. This is the second evacuation video where hefty people are being taken out after a breakdown. I'll leave it at that.
To be fair, they didn't tear down Maelstrom --they just built this over it, replaced some set pieces etc. Maelstrom was already roughly 30 years old before it went away, so this Frozen ride is working on 30 year old tracks and mechanics. No wonder it breaks down more than most other rides. It's due for a complete overhaul at this point.

Good job filming you are absolutely fine, As a Pass holder of ten years I’m sick of these people picking and choosing when they get to demand things to guests if you want to make guests follow rules then your cast members better be on the same page. I would have told that cast member to tell all his fellow staff the “no filming rule” and to contact RUclips if he has such a problem because RUclips is filled and always has been filled of videos showing backstage rides with no cast members saying anything about not filming these cast members see the person filming and still continue the evact without such a ridiculous demand why? Because there’s no set rule about not filming it’s pure entitlement. Disney never was like this your fine Filming just like the thousands of other videos on here and no college kid or anyone has the right to tell a grown adult what to do with their own property definitely would have gone to guest services because these cast member are getting way out of hand
That definitely could have been a factor. The many full ride evacuations of Frozen Ever After this first week have been mainly due to animatronics malfunctioning and the whole attraction needing to be reset, largely to blame on the rushed timetable of this attraction (which took 2 years) but still wasn't ready for opening day. From what we have heard there were limited-to-no cast member previews which is pretty unheard of with new attractions. Also, you guys are right, boat rides in general definitely have weight problems where the boat will start digging too hard against the bottom of the track to the point at which the boat stops moving altogether.
splash mountain broke a lot too. not because of weight but sensors. they are pushing the ride hard the sensors loose count and force a shut down as a safety feature. it's poor decisions by disney to open too soon. but it would still happen.

I counted 9 fat ones at 200 lbs each. That's a great fishin'. Boat couldn't get up the ramp because the boats are too heavy. They're going to have to change the loading procedure and space out the weight to different boats.
You obviously can't measure weight by appearance. I'm 200 lbs and as thin as as a rake, my cousin is 160 lbs and rather chubby. Weight does contribute but the thing is Frozen was a shit movie, so it's rides are too.

Guys keep in mind it was the same track system as maelstrom so it has been around for 30+ years without a Reno. It's a pretty old ride
