So good to see and feel the terror, and yet remain steadfast that our Lord will always be there in those times. I am 71 and still surfing in NZ. Every time I enter the water I pray for courage and safety and thank God that I can hang out in the line ups with the young crew. Life is fun!!!!
Crazy don't surf but I've been watching surfing and in the video, you speak the truth and not afraid to say it as someone who gave himself to Jesus recently at 43 love this so much.
Congratulations Bro, great challenge ! I'm 62 now and, more than ever, i pray our Lord to get courage and still get some overhead waves on the reef. God bless !! 🙏💓
Love your videos John. Had the pleasure of surfing the Bundoran area last fall - one of my favorite trips of my life. You are the kind of underground charger/local legend I aspire to be someday! Cheers from Maine USA 🤙🏼
At 48 years old I no longer hope to surf waves like that, especially after deciding to give my life to Christ..... Thank you Bro, you still give me hope. God bless you

True awakening happens when one realizes that strength and courage comes from within ourselves. Our successes and failures are 100% on us. Great video, thanks.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. I woke up this morning and read this, Give unto the Lord, O you mighty ones, Give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. Psalm 29, written 3000 years ago. It encouraged me. Hope you enjoyed the video. thanks
Yo, happy birthday bro, nice, I'm praying every time i get in the water, horrid wipe out, but you survived to tackle mully another day, 4/6ft max freak for me will do thanks very much, 😅 next time you're down this way we'll break bread 😊
Heavvy!! Respect! "With God All Things Are Possible"! 🙏No broken bones or board. Gutsy! Amen brother!!! What's the depth of the water by that boil? Seems quite shallow with a 30-40ft wave.
Seems so hard to come out of that initial bottom turn and pump for needed speed, like you just got to get up the face set your rail and hope for acceleration from the wave.
Is that what it’s like there all year round or it’s typical for mulagmore to have giant waves?? I must go there sometime to watch the surfers in action as it’s something I’ve never seen in my life living in Ireland
I’m curious, how deep is it at the takeoff point AND how deep is it on that inside section? I know it depends on the tide but I see boils on that pucker factor inside section 🙈🫣
@@sweetiepienumber1 hope I get to surf there one day, but I trust it’s busy. Hola from Portugal. I hear Hawaiians have ten percent Portuguese blood🤙😀🇮🇪🙌

It's scary, cold, and beautiful, and those men charge and have great attitudes.
Absolute chargers. My brain just wouldn't let me take off on waves like that...
This is some of the best slab surfing I think Ive ever watched.
Praise the LORD! His creation is awesome!
My mum lived in Mullaghmore. Great memories going there to see family
Thank God for the Crazy Irish

I still have chopes but with the size and cold water this is some crazy crazy action...well done!
How does one even survive that first wave. Absolutely mental
This is the definition of charging.

Hi Michael. Yes, the inside of the wave gets very shallow. not a great combo, giant waves with shallow reef.. :) Shielded:) take care. j
BTW nice vid

Every wave is unique!! 🤙👍😀
All credit to you John for being out there. From the video it just seems that you needed a yellow board to get most of the waves that day.
I couldn't believe how many times they showed the same guy drop in on the same wave in this video, I stopped at around 50
God once saved me from drowning in big Hawaii surf, thank you, Jesus !

@@CliffsofHope thanks , looks unreal.
Go John!

Hi Jason. It's not deep on the inside. It's not unusual for surfers to hit the reef. The boils are a give-away:)
Surfing doesn't have to be life or death. I get it, but for the rest of us, you can't beat 4-6 with some clean-up sets and an offshore at Ala Mo.

when was this filmed
JAN 2024:)
In which part of the world is the scariest wave?
Walpole, Western Australia
That is great stoked on God. 😊
