The 4th book was apart of the Kickstarter stretch goals but there are rumors of it being released later down the line as an extra book, which I hope it does! The 4th book is actually refrenced in the Index. Great Review!

Iconic character statblocks seems like a weird omission from a Dying Earth RPG boxset. It would be great to see how the singular oddness of Vance's protagonists translates with their system tweaks.
It's certainly nice to see what's there though, and there's clearly lots of great ways to find immersion and ownership of Vance's idiosyncratic world. And I'm loving your coverage of the adventures too.

I am probably in the minority, but I have never cared about stat blocks for established characters in these kind of products. The characters at my table may be in the same world as Elric, Conan, or Leto Atreides-but they are doing their own thing. If for some reason I felt I needed those characters, I would just make them.

I was never a huge Jack Vance fan but I got caught up in the hype and backed this to the hilt. Then we decided to move on from DCC. So I got all this stuff and pretty much had no interest in it. This was made worse by all their rules tweaks which I had no interest in learning. Luckily I found a buyer online and flipped it all. And yes, all the stats for characters from the books are in the Casebook of Arcane Apocrypha. Even though I flipped my hard copies, I still have all the pdfs of everything.

Don't ask me why, but I am a huge fan of the escapades of Cugal the clever. Make sure you don't miss out on his further adventures found in the Songs for a Dying Earth collection, and the spin off novel, A Quest for Simbilis by Michael Shea.
