Amazing review
I have both. I think it shaves almost as good as the Philips. That's not the problem. The problem is it takes 10 hrs to charge! That's ridiculous!
That's cos they haven't put a Lithium Ion battery inside they are using a regular Nickel Cadmium battery
@@benjamindavis4974 which model?
I bought this in a rush to replace a generic Chinese model shaver (based on this type of design) and didn't note the 10 hour charge time until I opened it at home. That is unforgivable in 2022. Even the generic Chinese knock off (a very good shaver) could fully charge via USB in 1 hour for a 60 minute run time. Also, mine included a so called carry case which was just a crappy light farbic drawstring pouch that does nothing to protect the shaver (other than from dust). Overall, a good shaver with a crappy battery system and a crappy cheap pouch.
Yeah was also shocked to see a Nickel Cadmium battery inside rather than Lithium
I took the trimmer today. I have a problem with my skin and I cut myself with a regular razor.
I shaved my 10 day old beard today and it's not bad at the moment...My job requires me to be shaved, shaving with this trimmer won't give you 100% shaved skin like a baby's butt, but I don't need it. You will feel a bit of chin under your fingers, but it is very small and not visually noticeable. It's important to me that I won't cut myself, and I can take the trimmer to work and have a dry shave in a few minutes. You can also shave other parts of the body, the forehead, the neck...
I have a complaint about the size, it should be at least 1 cm wider, so shaving time would be reduced. It's light in the hand, could be bigger with a stronger battery, looks kind of flimsy, and if you rush your shaving strokes, it feels like it's pulling at your chin.
It's not noisy. I don't see the light on the shaver when it's empty and when it's full?
Need Help:
If anyone knows anything more about charging and battery?
Should the battery be formed, and when should the trimmer be charged?
Can this be ideal to use on a head for Shaving at all just wondering weather it would be suitable as I'm looking for a new beard trimmer. It's looks very nice. :) 👍
Can work anywhere it's a versatile shaver.. 😊
Compared to its competitors, a Braun foil shaver performs the closest shave for the hairs that it catches, however it will leave more stray hairs as a result of its lesser ability to catch hairs, especially around the neck where the skin concaves. The intended purpose of the XT5, probably, is to clean up these stray hairs because it really doesn't work well as a full routine shaver, but does excellent cleanup because it trims closer than any trimmer and it also has a shaver to cut the stray hairs even closer still. The proper way to shave with this pair is to not seek perfection with the foil shaver, knowing that the stray hairs can be cleaned up well with the XT5. I believe the the XT5 was intended to be used with the lower end models of Braun foil shavers, because Braun knows their lower-end models don't catch hairs well, something they've resolved with their higher end models which have double center shaver. Overall, this pair performs a better shave than its competitors in its price-range, just understand that they are probably designed to work as a pair and a pair only.
Please check out the Oraimo shaver that's even better than this at half the cost
@@rtechreviewsRotary shavers are all inferior to foil shavers.
@@amochswohntet99 why is the rotary shaver inferior to the foil shaver ?
@@raduradu5966In my experience the rotary shavers don't perform as close a shave as foil shavers do. However, my opinion of foil shavers is becoming more tempered with time. I've noticed very recently that the wear across the foil of the shaver does not always occur uniformly, and so on my replacement blades at least, specific sections of the foil shaver shave too closely and even shave raw. If the second replacement blades do the same, I will be moving back to a rotary shaver, as crazy as that seems to me now 😒 The Dutch giant Philips could source my go-to shaver once again. I will say this though, while the foil shaver was good it was great. I don't entirely understand the problem with my Braun shaver. Not sure if it's just an issue of quality of replacement blades or an issue with the blade design. Maybe I'll message Braun and ask some questions.
What is important for me is that it creates a baby face. If the middle part of the Braun xt5 blade plucks the hair and provides a razor-sharp appearance, my preference will be the xt5. But if it cuts equally with one blade, my choice would be one blade, which one do you think I should choose? Which one is better for cutting like baby face?
Any advice on how to clean the blade for this trimmer?
I just rinse it under running water with the trimmer power on

Does it have a usage indicator like the oneblade?please answer.
Nope just charging lights and low battery
Which one is the best
Can the blade be changed when it comes out or do we have to buy a new device?
Can be changed ... It's called an XT 10 i guess links in the description
@@rtechreviews Thank you.
Is this product possible to shave head to 4 mm?
Yes with the attachments
Braun is much better than one blade I musnt move 3 times on one place to cit hairs than philips
Yes
Can we use it for daily shaving?
Yes
That one need to replace blade?
Yes
this review do NOT answer the question in the title if it's better - it doesn't discuss at al la comparison or if the Braun cuts closer
It does cut closer and slightly better thanks to the 4 way blade system... the thing to keep in mind is that these blades last for upto 6 months vs the Philips One Blade
@@rtechreviews thank you for the reply. Really appreciate it. I think I'm going to buy one then. That was the answer I was hoping for
Which one is the best
Please watch my video on the oraimo shaver and trimmer... That's cheaper and better and smoother for shaving
Can I get link for oraimo review?
Nickel Cadmiun battery 😱😱😱
Yes it's a Nickel Cadmium Battery 🔋 that's y the slow charge
The Braun isn't sharp enough for me but the OneBlade is.
Do check out the Oraimo shaver that costed me half as much but is a ton better than both ☺️
Braun is best or Philips is best I need bye give me idia
Braun blades have 6 months of life.. Philips has just 2 months
@@rtechreviews not really true. My Phillips blades have honestly been sharp for over 1.5 years now.
@@DanskeCrimeRiderTV do you even have a beard ?
@@xnoch6167 lol right, bc the one blades don’t last long at all in my opinion
I bought. After using it for ten seconds, I regretted it. I do not recommend
You never got to comparing to the Philips One Blade.. as the title promised... and so waste of time watching.. sorry!
