Note: If this trimmer is used on sensitive areas without using the guard, it will cut skin.
This is a good travel trimmer I suppose. It looks & feels good in hand but it takes a ton of effort to actually shave with and trimming your upper lip is a pain.
When should we charge the Braun XT5 battery? There is one light that does not shine at the moment, the trimmer is working.
When I connect it to the charger, the green light flashes.
When it stops flashing, it is a sign that it is full? By the way, I heard that it takes 10 hours to charge the battery?

Compared to its competitors, a Braun foil shaver performs the closest shave for the hairs that it catches, however it will leave more stray hairs as a result of its lesser ability to catch hairs, especially around the neck where the skin concaves. The intended purpose of the XT5, probably, is to clean up these stray hairs because it really doesn't work well as a full routine shaver, but does excellent cleanup because it trims closer than any trimmer and it also has a shaver to cut the stray hairs even closer still. The proper way to shave with this pair is to not seek perfection with the foil shaver, knowing that the stray hairs can be cleaned up well with the XT5. I believe the the XT5 was intended to be used with the lower end models of Braun foil shavers, because Braun knows their lower-end models don't catch hairs well, something they've resolved with their higher end models which have double center shaver. Overall, this pair performs a better shave than its competitors in its price-range, just understand that they are probably designed to work as a pair and a pair only.
These work really well, you can actually go up and down with it (I use this) and you’re left with no hair, so if you have a hard stubble just move it up and down and it’ll be gone like a razor.

@@musing.quotes I understand what you’re saying. However, even with a foil shaver you’ll still have to replace the head eventually. So either way it goes whether it’s six months or a year you’re going to have to replace the heads on either a foil shaver or the XT5.
Would I be able to swap battery out with another rechargeable AA should factory battery die?

Is this really charging 8 hours only for 40 min working?
Looks like I'm about 9 months old to the party here but yes, I was quite astounded when I first got my and realized that for fucking a goddamn hours of charging I got maybe 40 minutes of work time like you say even though they advertise something like 4 hours or some other such bullshit. I still use it all the time but you're damn right I make sure it's always charged lol
Seems as absolute disaster! When charging it doesn't work, not even saying the BRICK to charge is bigger than machine itself, not usb c but some additional type of cable-horror!

Extremely bad product. Never buy this! As a trimmer is to slow and not precise. Just work for shaving.
