Check your oil make sure it’s not dirty or low try getting. Oil change then change camshaft mine had the same problem without the oil light being on but epc and engine light was on along with rough idling if it’s dirty or low the camshaft sensor can not get. Good reading causing problems
Definitely the oil level and change frequency plays a huge role. Given it high mileage I find it consumes more oil ow than ever. Please check out the latest episode on final conclusion related to the issue
Hi, did you ever fix the issue? My 2013 jetta GLI 177k miles, and has p0341 and p0343 codes toggling, I replaced the camshaft position sensor, but still having the codes bouncing from time to time. I wonder if I have to try yo replace the magnet. What happened with your case finally?
In my case and also on the video when I cleaned the magnet and was able to get the pin to freely move again I temporarily installed it to see if the error code disappeared. And it surely did. So I knew that was causing my issue. Fast forward 4 months later I have a video coming up with the final solution replacing the magnet and the valve. Hope to have that out on Thursday
Thank you so much!!
You're welcome!
