This seems to be a different trail . This trail surface looks some what nice . There are no buildings on the trail we hicked except on mountain top where couple small hotels are there . But the biosphere it self very beautiful . The guide told us the trail we hiked is the toughest and told us we should not have chosen
We also want to do this hike at the end of September, beginning of October. How did you do that? What place did you depart from? Where did you sleep so you could walk back the other wadi? Is it doable without a guide?
We arranged a transfer from Dana town to Al Mansoura from where we started the Wadi Ghuweir hike to Feynan ecolodge. There is also a basic campsite (with fixed tents) at the exit of Wadi Ghuweir we noticed. When the water level is low it's doable without a guide although there are some stretches where you need to scramble. Next day Feynan to Dana town, which is easy to navigate.

You follow the stream of the river so you cannot get lost. There was 1 point a bit tricky where you had to pass large boulders and we climbed a bit higher up along a steep wall. At different water levels the trek can be more complicated so if you are not sure about your hiking and navigation skills and the conditions of the trail, I would recommend a guide.
Thanks Ryan! Yes it is, it's Dana guesthouse. The view is spectacular but to be honest I was disappointed by the hotel, it's a bit run down so poor price-quality ratio. You get the same view from Dana town so even if you choose another hotel, you will get to see that view.

The Feynan lodge is a bit off the main Wadi Dana/Ghuweir trail. Furthermore no buildings indeed, only at Dana town. Hope you enjoyed the hike!
