- Commercials coming from episodes of Superman: The Animated Series on Superman Saturday and other various Boomerang shows in the Summer of 2006. There's many of bumpers and promos that repeat here, but what do you expect from a nearly 5 hour recording. If you see bumpers repeating like 3 or 4 times in a row, it was the bumpers that played in between cartoons which I thought about including. Credit to KevinSpencer for originally uploading and providing the nostalgia.

@@tmcttf8087 next Thursday thru next Sunday they're doing a 96 hour marathon of nothing but the old shows with Yogi Bear Magilla Gorilla Top Cat Josie and the Pussycats Popeye airing on the channel for the first time since the rebrand I don't know if it will be a regular weekend thing but it's coming back next weekend starting next Thursday 10 am. Make sure to watch it if love the old boomerang!!

Back in 2000, I remember seeing the Boomerang segments on CN early in the morning before the sun came up. Was a random morning where I happened to wake up early on Saturday for no reason other than just that I couldn't sleep.

The logo representing an actual boomerang. The phrase "it's all coming back to you" which implies that classic cartoons are making a comeback. The channel was called boomerang for a reason. With the newer version, now the name makes zero sense since it has none of these elements.
it pains me to look at these.... wanna know why? Because THIS is my childhood and seeing how Boomerang is now, makes me sad. Even though I'm 17 now. I'd watch Boomerang with my father all day long.

When I was a kid, I was scared of the dark, so I'd leave the TV in my room on this channel all night long. Man, does this bring back memories...
I really miss this version of boomerang. I taught myself how to draw watching these cartoons and got excited about animation. Also All of these bumpers are deeply ingrained in my brain
How I miss the old Boomerang. Watching this reminds me of when I would just watch nothing but Boomerang before I went to sleep. I can remember some night, like during summer break, watching “The Flintstones” late at night, maybe 2am or 3am?
Turner really screwed up when they made Boomerang ad-based. It’s never been the same since, especially now.

God I miss this. I miss the old Boomerang. Waking up early to watch the commercials. Watching the shows until I couldn’t stay up anymore. This makes me miss my childhood days. I’m so glad I got to grow up with this unlike the newer generations.

Man I remember being a kid wanting to have those old toys they used for the bumpers and also hoping for boomerang sing along to come on with the banana splits theme. Good memories.
OMG The nostalgia!!! Hearing the music in the bumpers was like someone pressed "PLAY" in my head, and they automatically started replaying. All these years, and I didn't forget. In a way, I guess it all came back to me. Damn... 😳😔

When the announcer says “it’s all coming back to you!” It really does now🥺I miss being a kid ,waking up in the morning , watching cartoons. It’s very nostalgic and I’m truly thankful to be a 2000s baby. Boy I miss it all so much ! RUclips is the closest thing to a time machine!!!!!

1 boomerang was created BEFORE streaming services were invented.
looney tunes were airing before the television became a common set piece in the household yet they aired looney tunes on that.

2. Putting your shows on a app that is cheaper than cable is actually helping introduce a new generation to these classics, which would be what hanna barbera wanted.

I remember watching boomerang a lot (When cartoon network went downhill that time) it brings back great memories. As soon as i saw the new logo, i'm glad i stopped watching it. i knew it would go downhill too.
......I loved Boomerang back then, before the channel sadly got rebranded to become a Cartoon Network rip-off.....I one time went to go watch Boomerang, this was most likely back in 2015 (the year Boomerang rebranded). And when I saw the logo via the Guide Menu, I *knew* that something was definitely wrong.....the familiar *boomerang* logo was replaced with.....a box. A black & white.....box (seems *too* familiar to a logo that existed before Boomerang's corroded new look, yes?). Still, I selected the channel, and found that *ALL* of the legendary bumpers that I watched as a little kid.....was gone. They were replaced by pink and yellow boxes with no style, with no toys to be found moving around. After that point, Boomerang entered a failure of an age......Christina Miller.....it was most likely *HER* fault. 👿

Even to this day, I'm still mad about them not adding more bumpers for Tom & Jerry. Even the Powerpuff Girls got more bumpers than Tom & Jerry does. And the PPG only had three bumpers. I still prefer this Boomerang than the new pile of junk here.
You're right.....even back then, I didn't see that many bumpers of the legendary Cat & Mouse Duo.....there were only like, 2.....and now, Boomerang has been destroyed.....
TMC TTF Actually, there WERE more bumpers for Tom and Jerry. The reason why those other bumpers didn’t air was due to a screw up in Boomerang’s system. Turner Broadcasting never bothered to fix it

My mom has me when she was older, her and her brother were born in the 60s and I was born in the early 2000s. She would watch this with me and would go on about how she watched the same shows that were on boomerang that we were watching at the moment. It’s cool to see that we had bonded over something most people would overlook. (My favorite shows were Johnny Quest and Josie and the Pussycats which were also my mom and my uncles favorite)

2000s was the best time. Disney, Nickelodeon, and CN all had good shows. Boomerang used to actually play old shows. Now they only play Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes along with some CN shows from the 2000s that only come on super late if you are lucky

When boomerang was primarily a good channel for showing reruns of older cartoons. After they rebranded boomerang it's nothing but a downfall.
Yeah, after 2015, Boomerang really went downhill, I mean I still watched it, because why the hell not, but it didn't have the same effect on me as the OG Boomerang did, like it got boring and monotonous with the shows, which is why I would change the channel to either The Disney Channel or Nickelodeon.

DoritoGuy4 / DG4 TTG and Gumball started airing in December of 2014. Also, not sure that Yogi/Huck was removed. I know Secret Squirrel was removed, but they also brought back Pixie and Dixie in 2014. I’d say boomerang still had a decent year in 2014. 2013 was slightly better tho

The Boomerang Network launched 11 days before I was born.
Boomerang had the best commercials
Boomerang was for the then retired boomers who had grown up on these cartoons and share the nostalgia with future generations. Problem is that a lot of boomers are on the way out and gen x are taking their place.
Due to a lot of cartoon from the 70s-80s either sucked or were just animated versions of sitcoms that had no reason to air on modern tv, Turner decided to air cartoon Network shows.

I was born in 2006 in I remember staying up at night on the couch as a kid watching boomerang in drift away to sleep with the tv on good nostalgia childhood
They had modern cartoons like Justice League and Teen Titans on Boomerang even back then. Honestly even 90s stuff like Dexter and Duck Dodgers was pushing it. Shouldve stuck with old HB, Looney Tunes and MGM cartoons, kept everything else on Cartoon Network
