Right? As a kid born in 2001 I agree this is the MOST 2000s thing in existence. I know because I VIVIDLY recall each and EVERY one of these bumpers from seeing them on TV in between the classic cartoons that these would play in between
It brought me joy seeing all these bumpers on TV as a child, but revisiting these little interstitial clips after all these years gives me the opportunity to see these from an adult perspective - the kitschy vintage toys, the groovy music, and how it all connects to bring the viewers (especially the young ones) delight, and seeing that the network knew their audience when they made these bumpers. I wish I could go back in time, even if just once, and relive the great days of my childhood ❤️

Shiz Oh Network idk why they switched it up. This channel was supposed to be about old classic cartoons. I dont see any old classic cartoons except tom and jerry and looney tunes but that's all. You can't bring old episodes and shows that came on last year or year before that on a network That's about old awesome shows. That's not what boomerang is about. It's about reliving the classics. The old Boomerang used to be my childhood. So this is really nostalgic to me. Even though I thought these bumpers were weird or even a little scary as a child, they really were my childhood
It's sad this was childhood and now its gone to shit. It's just shitty newer cartoon network shows (like 2012 new) a certain old ones they don't even show classics like Pink Panter or Tom Cat. Yeah I know what you mean. I watch The Flintstones when I'm staying up late. I wish they could play more classics like you said like Yogi Bear, MGM, Hokey Wolf, The Jetsons, and some classic 2000's cartoons like My Gym Partner's a Monkey, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Squirrel Boy, Camp Lazlo, Krypto the Superdog, Duck Dodgers, etc. They even stopped showing Dexter's Lab and Powerpuff Girls, those are overqualified to play on Boomerang, but at least they still show Chowder, which I love.
This actually makes me cry... the TV service at my house as a kid didn't have Boomerang, but my grandparents' house did, so whenever I visited I would watch it a lot... My grandpa has cancer now and they're not sure what will happen to him... Watching this video reminds me of being a kid sitting in the living room before I had all the stress of high school, eating the chicken nuggets my grandma always made for me... their cats would always be excited to see me and would sit on my lap... I would play on my DS or on their old computer that still had dial up internet in the mid 2000s... I never had anything to worry about there. Now I'm always thinking about my grades and APs, and I'm really worried about my grandpa... not even the old Boomerang is still there... my life really has changed. I miss the good old days.

As a kid, I knew that the theme used in 3:04 sounded really familiar but didn't know why. Well today I was setting up my work calendar for my team at my office desk and was listening to a random recommended RUclips playlist and the song "Don't Walk Away" by Jade started playing and instantly reminded me of this theme. It isn't exactly the same but the beat is pretty similar. I hope I helped someone else with this!
It's the famous "Jungle Jazz" breakbeat. The drums are from the intro of Kool and the Gang's "Jungle Jazz", the B-side of their funk hit "Jungle Boogie", love the song btw. It's one of the most sampled breaks ever.

My favorites💕 I miss those Hanna Barbera cartoons - you can't hardly find them anywhere anymore. I loved them when I was little. I used to stay up till midnight to watch Hong Kong Phooey. Man, does this bring me pride and joy. I missed seeing these everytime I watched boomerang. I was confused as to why they changed the style, and frankly, I hated not being able to watch all the old shows anymore.
A flood of memories just came back...Oh how I wish I could go back just for one hour...or atleast enough time to truly tell my grandparents how much I loved them, how much they meant to me, all the cartoons I use to watch would be nothing without them...Everytime I went up to my grandparents house they would always put on Boomerang for me and they would watch the shows with me because they grew up with em. To even spend a minute back in time, its all I would need...I would tell them how much they mean to me and that I will always value and cherish all that they taught me and did with me...I miss them so much...I cant even listen to the "Out of the Box" Goodbye song without balling because my grandmother would always sing it with me and since her passing ive listened to it a few times and its just hard...I wish Boomerang would go back to what it was...it would be the only channel I would need...My grandparents are both passed obviously and I cant picture my childhood without them...My mother has medical issues and my dads getting older...I know one day they too will be gone and it just opens up a floodgate of tears...So much heartache...Ive always known that one day it will happen and sure it doesn't seem like a big deal but there are moments when the weight of the reality of it hits you and you wont stop crying for atleast 20 minutes to an hour until its all out...I hardly cry...so when I do cry its for a lengthy period and then im good again for a certain amount of time...Any other 90s or early 2000s kids out there who know what im going through at all? Just be nice to have somebody to relate too...Alright..Im good...RUclips isn't known for being an emotional tampon so sorry about all that...God even 10 seconds is all I would need...
This reminds me of the times my mom used to take me to either my grandma's or my godmother's house because she had to work. When I was at my godmother's house because my grandma was busy however, we use to watch Boomerang and Jerry Springer all day long together. This was when I was very young however. Around 5 or 6. Today I'm 17. My godmother is unfortunately no longer with me. She passed away recently at the beginning of 2020. I come back to this video constantly because it's one of the only things that I can experience to remember times like that. R.I.P. Helen Jean Washington.

I was just starting Preschool and my parents started letting me watch Channels like Boomerang, CartoonNetwork, DisneyXD, and Nickelodeon. I watched more Boomerang and CartoonNetwork tho.

These we're the best bumpers but now they have some stupid modern powerpuff girls, Garfield, tom and jerry, scooby doo. It just ruins my childhood and breaks my heart to see these new bumpers. You'll all be happy to know that in recent months Boomerang has drastically improved it's channel lineup; it's starting to show all the classic retro cartoons for baby boomers and generation X: shows like POPEYE THE SAILOR, WACKY RACES, THE YOGI BEAR SHOW, TOP CAT, THE FLINSTONES, even JABBERJAW. This is great!! Apparently someone at Boomerang has gotten the message, "older people want the classic cartoon back." But I'm wondering how long this fun will last? Will it only be temporary or permanent? Let's hope for the latter

It's sad this was childhood and now its gone to shit. It's just shitty newer cartoon network shows (like 2012 new) a certain old ones they don't even show classics like Pink Panter or Tom Cat. I wish they would show great shows like Samurai Jack and The Jetsons. It hurts my heart that other generations outside of mine and the the two after that won't understand what good cartoons are
And that new show "Wabbit" completely ruined Bugs Bunny for me.

I love how creative they are even when i was in highschool (supposedly too old to watch cartoons) i love how much effort and craftsmanship to make these commercials so memorable and iconic.

I miss the old Boomerang, the new one isn't nearly as good. They show too many modern shows like Teen Titans Go! I though it was meant for classic cartoons. At least they still show Tom and Jerry on a daily basis.

Yeah I know what you mean. I watch The Flintstones when I'm staying up late. I wish they could play more classics like you said like Yogi Bear, MGM, Hokey Wolf, The Jetsons, and some classic 2000's cartoons like My Gym Partner's a Monkey, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Squirrel Boy, Camp Lazlo, Krypto the Superdog, Duck Dodgers, etc. They even stopped showing Dexter's Lab and Powerpuff Girls, those are overqualified to play on Boomerang, but at least they still show Chowder, which I love.

This actually makes me cry... the TV service at my house as a kid didn't have Boomerang, but my grandparents' house did, so whenever I visited I would watch it a lot... My grandpa has cancer now and they're not sure what will happen to him... Watching this video reminds me of being a kid sitting in the living room before I had all the stress of high school, eating the chicken nuggets my grandma always made for me... their cats would always be excited to see me and would sit on my lap... I would play on my DS or on their old computer that still had dial up internet in the mid 2000s... I never had anything to worry about there. Now I'm always thinking about my grades and APs, and I'm really worried about my grandpa... not even the old Boomerang is still there... my life really has changed. I miss the good old days.

As a kid, I knew that the theme used in 3:04 sounded really familiar but didn't know why. Well today I was setting up my work calendar for my team at my office desk and was listening to a random recommended RUclips playlist and the song "Don't Walk Away" by Jade started playing and instantly reminded me of this theme. It isn't exactly the same but the beat is pretty similar. I hope I helped someone else with this!

It's the famous "Jungle Jazz" breakbeat. The drums are from the intro of Kool and the Gang's "Jungle Jazz", the B-side of their funk hit "Jungle Boogie", love the song btw. It's one of the most sampled breaks ever.

A flood of memories just came back...Oh how I wish I could go back just for one hour...or atleast enough time to truly tell my grandparents how much I loved them, how much they meant to me, all the cartoons I use to watch would be nothing without them...Everytime I went up to my grandparents house they would always put on Boomerang for me and they would watch the shows with me because they grew up with em. To even spend a minute back in time, its all I would need...I would tell them how much they mean to me and that I will always value and cherish all that they taught me and did with me...I miss them so much...I cant even listen to the "Out of the Box" Goodbye song without balling because my grandmother would always sing it with me and since her passing ive listened to it a few times and its just hard...I wish Boomerang would go back to what it was...it would be the only channel I would need...My grandparents are both passed obviously and I cant picture my childhood without them...My mother has medical issues and my dads getting older...I know one day they too will be gone and it just opens up a floodgate of tears...So much heartache...Ive always known that one day it will happen and sure it doesn't seem like a big deal but there are moments when the weight of the reality of it hits you and you wont stop crying for atleast 20 minutes to an hour until its all out...I hardly cry...so when I do cry its for a lengthy period and then im good again for a certain amount of time...Any other 90s or early 2000s kids out there who know what im going through at all? Just be nice to have somebody to relate too...Alright..Im good...RUclips isn't known for being an emotional tampon so sorry about all that...God even 10 seconds is all I would need...

This reminds me of the times my mom used to take me to either my grandma's or my godmother's house because she had to work. When I was at my godmother's house because my grandma was busy however, we use to watch Boomerang and Jerry Springer all day long together. This was when I was very young however. Around 5 or 6. Today I'm 17. My godmother is unfortunately no longer with me. She passed away recently at the beginning of 2020. I come back to this video constantly because it's one of the only things that I can experience to remember times like that. R.I.P. Helen Jean Washington.

Kids from the 2000s and early 2010s find this very nostalgic. I remember watching Boomerang in the mornings while i was waiting for the school bus. I was just starting Preschool and my parents started letting me watch Channels like Boomerang, CartoonNetwork, DisneyXD, and Nickelodeon. I watched more Boomerang and CartoonNetwork tho.
I used to stay up late at night and just have Boomerang on in the background while I surfed Newgrounds or played Pinball on the family computer. Good times.
Honestly this was childhood. I remember asking my mom for a big bowl of cereal when it was like 2:00 AM and boomerang came on. I watched all the good shows including Tom and jerry. These we're the best bumpers but now they have some stupid modern powerpuff girls, Garfield, tom and jerry, scooby doo. It just ruins my childhood and breaks my heart to see these new bumpers. I remember always watching it until I fall asleep and then I'll wake up in the morning and the show was still on. I'm just broken right now.

You'll all be happy to know that in recent months Boomerang has drastically improved it's channel lineup; it's starting to show all the classic retro cartoons for baby boomers and generation X: shows like POPEYE THE SAILOR, WACKY RACES, THE YOGI BEAR SHOW, TOP CAT, THE FLINSTONES, even JABBERJAW. This is great!! Apparently someone at Boomerang has gotten the message, "older people want the classic cartoon back." But I'm wondering how long this fun will last? Will it only be temporary or permanent? Let's hope for the latter
