Love this. So cute. I wanted to be there dancing too! 🕺 Hot Chocolate were a favorite group of mine back in the 1970s. This song from. 1978 i particularly like. I remember going to discos back then , and having a boogie to great tunes such as this. Well done!
This fantastic animation short features an excellent composition, characters, song, lighting, choreography, feel, and flow. The lead Candlebot robot captures the essence of Errol 'Hot Chocolate' Brown (RIP) and his signature, classic 'bopping', in a clean, spacious, futuristic, and engaging theater. Superb. What environment/s did you use to produce the set, robots, lighting, and animation? Thanks for the video! A real treat.
Wow, thank you @MrB4dcat! This video was created in Blender, using an HDRI of an old theater to provide the environment and some of the lighting. The robot animation is frame-by-frame motion capture, with custom animation (the choreography) completely without AI. Aside from 3D animation, Blender also has an excellent video editor interface. The robots are featured in many of our videos, and we refer to the green robot as "Model 405" and is followed by the more advanced meta-human backup dancer bot "Model 406". Thanks again for your kind comments on the details, it means a great deal to have them noticed and appreciated! Cheers!
