solid no-nonsense defender very comfortable on the ball, and always did well when called upon at Stockport a good signing and will add good experience to the Bantam's backline
You were right, the Bradford article was wrong. He signed for Tranmere in the summer of 2022 and then we signed him in the January 2023 transfer window because of injury to Horsfall. He came in and settled very quickly so much so when Horsfall came back from injury, Bryne kept his place for a few games to allow Horsfall to come back more steadily. He's a good solid CB. Organises the defence well and is comfortable with both right and left foot. Can easily be a starting CB for a promotion chasing team.
Don't like Bradford at all but watch your channel occasionally. And tbf you speak well and know your football. Fair play pal keep it up. (Donny fan.) You should be right up there I think next season. Experienced and physical team.
I'm also not convinced. Technically sounds alright, but his club history doesn't fill me with confidence that he would be able to cope with a home crowd in one of those 1-0 down to bottom of the league kind of games
Anyone reading between the lines of the Mark Stott /JK interview should be able to see what is happening now at EP. Season 2024 / 2025 will be a "holding " season. A solid top 10 finish with maybe a chance of a play off place, but with a younger team looking for promotion in season 2025 / 2026. By that time all the players who have left, who will do a great job in EFL2 for others, will be uncompetitive. The "powers that be" know exactly what they are doing and I have total faith in them. We'll be fine this year and great the season after
In the last 3 seasons, he's not played even 20 league games in any of them, only 16 league games last season.. Looks just a journeyman. Paying a fee for him looks poor business Also that tweet saying cook didn't get better or score against Byrne. Impossible as Byrne was unused sub against us in both league games 😂
Byrne’s low number of starts is mainly down to the overall strength of County’s squad; what you will notice though is that he was a first choice whenever County were facing the likes of Sutton, Wrexham, and Salford with big centre-forwards and aerial bombardments.
In terms of actual defensive work (Tackling,Heading ect) probably one of the best in the league. Pretty slow with average ball distribution. Either twats it long or passes it side ways
FFS this is not the quality signing we need. He only played 16 times for Stockport and was on loan and and hardly played for Tranmere. He is on the wrong side of 30 - we need tall, pacey defenders around the age of 27 - not 30+ - sorry but I remain very very dubious about this signing. But obviously I hope I am wrong.

Sounds decent!

He's very steady and he's comfortable on the ball, I'm sure all County fans wish him well.

Or puts it in the top bin from 35 yards. Realisticly L1 step up will be too much but he will do great job for you no worries.
🤞🤞
Been a season ticket holder at Stockport for the past two seasons Byrne been a good player
🔥👀
He’s solid enough for you.
Decent header of the ball too.
Sounds Good!

Neil is a solid player , but like you said his age is against him . I'd be concerned it's not a ambitious signing .
💯
replacing ash taylor with ash taylor
🤔🤔
Amazing video
🤍
What’s up with Stockport not keeping these two players after being promoted? Is this because they’re older players?
He wasn't a regular starter but he's a good pro who never let us down.

Good Signing, 7/10.
