Today I'm gonna be rating every single product from my favorite skincare brand, Glow Recipe.
This is a brand I get asked about the most! I get accused of doing secret sponsorships for them all the time, lol, BECAUSE THAT'S HOW MUCH I LOVE THEM!
So today I'm sharing my personal experience and opinions with Glow Recipes product library!

I imagine that if James ever released a skincare line, It would be a partnership with Glow Recipie in a similar way that Hyram partnered with Inkey List. Id be on board
The world has enough skincare brands. I think he is adding a ton of value as is to this community.
I stopped following Hyram when he took the obnoxiously commercial route of what was once an entertaining and informative channel.
I don't want to see James go the same route 😔
oh please not again i had enough of celebs/skincare enthusiasts releasing overpriced products that has basic ingredients. And yes we already have enough skincare brands to choose from that is cheap but effective.

I tried Glow Recipe products after watching your videos and they were the ONLY products that cleared my hormonal acne after HUNDREDS of dollars spent on other products recommended by aesthetic nurses and estheticians. After 8 months of trying to clear my acne at 30 years old, Glow Recipe completely cleared my skin in four days. The watermelon toner, strawberry serum, and dew drops are my ride or dies but I love everything else I’ve tried including the watermelon moisturizer, avocado serum, guava serum, and spf. I can’t wait to try more and I thank you 🙏🏼 for your videos on these products!! 💕💕💕
No offense, but if a product that doesn’t affect your hormones clears your “hormonal” acne in 4 days, then it either wasn’t the products or it wasn’t hormonal acne. I’m glad you found something that worked, and all types of acne can be so frustrating to deal with, but it’s just as frustrating to waste hundreds of dollars on products like these because you hear stories of people clearing their “hormonal” acne with them. The only things that help true hormonal acne are medications like spiro, tret, and accutane, and time. I could be wrong and these could be miracle products, and maybe there’s something in them that interacted your specific chemistry to produce amazing results, but I don’t want anyone to run out and spend a bunch of money on products that most likely aren’t going to do a thing for their hormonal acne.
@Itz_fairyrosalynnxoxospamsssI would say it is. Niacinamide strengthens the barrier, controls oiliness and can make the face brighten overtime but thats all it does. I dont think it would be harmful to young skin compared to other actives such as AHA, BHA and other things. However, I’m not a professional!
Exactly, agree with pellaw!I'm a long time hormonal acne sufferer. Creams don't clear your acne from one day to another (if ever) so... either you're with treatment or... your comment is a fake😢
I don't use this brand but I really like the packaging and design of their products. It's minimal without being boring and aesthetically interesting without being overpowering. Everything looks sweet and edible too, which I'm a huge sucker for.
Honestly, Glow Recipe is probably my favorite brand. It's definitely the Skincare brand I've tried the most products from

you can get quite good kits from them at various times, not too expensive with a few things to try
Right now you can build your own mini starter kit with like 4 or 5 products for $32
I wish the watermelon spray was refillable so I could put in other toners for that perfect fog 😆

Hell yes! I can't use the mist itself but I would LOVE to be able to put my own toner in it because the mist is so perfect!

The watermelon toner is also higher than "can't live without" for me, in total honesty, because of you hyping it up so much. I use it everyday and also have backups.
For some reason I used to think that Glow Recipe would irritate my skin, so I avoided them for a long time.. but recently I saw they had the guava kit with full size gauva vitamin c serum on sale and I bought it. I love love love that serum and I’ve started using more products from them. I have fallen in love with everything they have. On a side note, as an artist I can’t help but deeply appreciate what they have done with the bottle design, so beautiful. Love them and love you for your honest reviews. ❤
I ADORE Glow Recipe and I've owned & tried the vast majority of their products. I've never found a brand that has so many products that I truly enjoy using. The way the products apply and play well together, the textures, the scents, the experience, etc. There's just something about the brand that clicks with me.
Now, here's the bad news... I can't really use the brand anymore. Other than one product. 😭
I really started using actives more regularly when I got into Glow Recipe, and after a short time, I started to realize that my skin was really suffering. So I had to figure out why... I removed the AHA's, PHA's, BHA's, Vitamin C, and Retinol. The obvious culprits. (I did find that my dry/sensitive skin is sensitive to ALL of those ingredients, & I found that I can only use them very rarely.) But even after removing those ingredients, my skin was still looking REALLY BAD. I couldn't figure it out... I couldn't figure it out, because the ingredient to blame is basically never spoken ill of in the skincare community. So after quite some time, I realized that I'm basically allergic/highly sensitive to Niacinamide, which, unfortunately, is in almost all of Glow Recipe's products. 😞 That revelation was hard to take. But as soon as I removed Niacinamide (along with the other ingredients listed above), my skin started healing.
So I basically have a cabinet full of 12 Glow Recipe products that I cannot use. Some I can use maybe once a month, but usually much less often than that. So I use their Banana Souffle Cream, which seems to be the only product truly designed for dry and/or sensitive skin in mind.
(Even the Plum Plump products aren't designed with dry or sensitive skin in mind, unfortunately. You would think they would be, but they say on the box that they are best for combo skin. They did rapidly dehydrate my skin & cause irritation unfortunately.)
Anywho, color me disappointed. I'm really hoping that Glow Recipe comes out with a whole range of gentle, hydrating, moisturizing, soothing, healing, restoring, calming, plumping, glowy products designed especially for those with dry/sensitive skin. Because that is literally all I can use. Having some simple, anti-aging ingredients in them (like adenosine, ceramides, peptides, lipids, collagen, etc) would also be lovely. 😊 Just some lovely products to use that treat the skin with great kindness would be really appreciated.
I would love to see another toner like their current PHA/AHA Toner (my FAVORITE product, which I adore the texture of), except it could be made with only super-hydrating, moisturizing, soothing, plumping ingredients. I'd also like to see a new Avocado Ceramide Serum (another favorite of mine) with no Niacinamide. Fingers crossed. 🤞😅
The cleansing balm is a must-have for me! I love it so much more than any other one I've used. The smell is pleasant and not overpowering and the texture is lovely. For me, I don't even have to emulsify it for it to take off my makeup, which I prefer. I wipe it off with a wet facecloth and then use a second cleanse. Love. It.
I bought the toner after hearing James talk about it and I honestly love it, the first night I used it I couldn’t get over how good my skin looked and felt
I’m SO sad that Glow Recipe discontinued the Banana Soufflé moisturizer. It really helped calm and sooth my eczema/acne prone skin!
They did nooo i love that one 😱 it has the perfect texture and nice scent thats not overwhelming. I also have sensitive/eczema prone skin so it was perfect🥲
I find James' tone of voice and accent so soothing. So nice to listen to with ear pods at work. And if course his content is wonderful!
Honestly, James is the reason I now only use Glow Recipe EVERYTHING. I love it, my skin loves it… he’s amazing and I believe his honesty about the brand is why I chose to start buying all their stuff! ❤
I prefer the Sweet Chef line, I like the vegetable versions of serums, and I love the gentle cleanser as well. And yes James, avocadoes are fruits 🥑

I love the ginger Sweet Chef toner and when I’ve used up my Keys toner, I’ll go back to Sweet Chef.
I love their cleansing balm. I’ve been through probably 3 or 4 containers. Definitely give that one another try. I’ll be giving the toner and strawberry exfoliate a try as I haven’t yet. Their products are overall great. Nothing has really disappointed me.
The magic of this product is a lot more obvious when removing make up-everything just comes off in one go and it leaves your face feeling moisturized immediately after
Do you need another cleanser after this balm?
I really like their avocado eye cream. I wanted a retinol as a preventative step and I find it doesn't leave my under eyes dry and crepey like other retinol eye products I've tried. Then the strawberry serum was a surprise favourite! I initially thought it was making my skin sensitive (turns out that was something else) but I saw such good results I tried it again and w o w. My skin loves it. The difference in pore size and quick fading of dark spots is incredible. Like I like their toner a lot but this serum does everything for me.
I just finished my skincare routine but something about doing it alongside your videos makes me want to do it again
I have struggled with my hormonal acne since I got it at 25 and I’ve gone through so many products BUT Glow Recipe has changed my skin. The Watermelon Glow toner is amazing, the banana moisturizer calms my redness and I can’t stop using the blueberry cleanser. I think I finally found products that help and I’m 28 lol it took me this long.
I never comment, but I had to stop and say how freaking awesome your skin looks in this video, not that it doesn't always look amazing. Also, love Glow Recipe! Their niacinamide is one of the only ones I've found that doesn't sting and doesn't pill.
id love a video with alternatives / dupes for the glow recipe products. i do enjoy quite a few but the high prices means i dont buy them all the time.
I have the “hello good stuff glow serum primer” from essence and today i just realised that it’s supposed to be a dupe for the glow recipe dew drops lol. Then I thought ab ur comment i saw a couple days ago on this vid and thought I’d let u know!

I love the fact Glow Recipe has a bunch of 'starter kits' that offer you this gateway to their products. You can try so much at a fair cost. This always makes me like a company -- shows me they're not here just to grab my money without delivering good product.

I am so in love with Glow Recipe. My “Can’t Live Without This” product is the Plump Plump Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer. Absolutely love it!! Behind that, totally in love with the Avocado Ceramide Redness Relief Serum. I really noticed a difference in my skin once I started using that. All Glow Recipe products are a win for me. They never fail 🙌🏼

Absolutely love the dew drops & watermelon toner. The cleansing balm is fantastic and so is the watermelon moisturizer. Currently considering buying the strawberry serum. Only thing I used I wasn't mad about was the blueberry cleanser as surprisingly it broke me out. That being said it's such an all round amazing brand. Thank you James for introducing us to it! 🥰

Thank you for raving about their products so much. I started using the toner and dew drops in November last year and now have a decent collection of their products.
It really helped my skin bounce back to life after pregnancy.
The Guava serum is actually one of my favorites! It's the only vitamin C product that hasn't irritated my skin, and I think it's because the types of VC they use are probably in lower percentages so it's gentler (their MO of course) and it doesn't feel weirdly oily. Does some time to see results though.

Thanks James Glow Recipe is my go to skin care now and I love it! 💖 I’ve been using it for a couple of years and I get comments (good ones 😁) about my skin. Love the toner, Pink Juice, Dew Drops and the Strawberry Salicylic Serum. I’m turning 60 in a couple of months and love how my skin is looking 😊 🍉🍓

I was iffy about Glow Recipe due to their prices, but between all of their awesome trial deals and their ✨AMAZING✨customer service, I've totally fallen in love. They've made it really easy to try out different products before breaking the bank on the full-size, and customer service has really hooked it up for me on more than one occasion. Annnnnd now I'm addicted. 🙃

I am quite smitten with their plum plump HA cream. Really liked the vit C too but I don’t know if it was too gentle for me 😅 Although I didn’t expect to love the watermelon body cream as much as I did.

I love the watermelon exfoliant so much. I used to used stronger ones but in the end found them too harsh and prefer other exfoliants than glycolic. I love the mist too, I keep it in the fridge its so nice
Glow recipe is my favorite brand too!! Ive loved everything I’ve tried. My favs are the plum moisturizer, the watermelon toner and the avocado serum!

I am 47 and have tried SO many products/lines over the years. Caudalie is the only line I’ve repurchased from…UNTIL Glow Recipe came along. I have almost their entire line and cannot/will not use anything else and reorder multiple products! LOVE GR!!
Love this brand. I got the watermelon BHA in an advent calendar and my skin loved it. I just purchased the full range and used a lot of the products today. It works well on my skin and layers well.
I haven't had the opportunity to use glow recioe yet but am always keeping my eye out for a sale or something because I'm dying to try them. The way you are describing the mask though sounds alot like the bliss masks, and I completely agree, the whipped texture plus the different ingredients in the formulations make them so pleasant to use!
My favourite clay/mud mask has been the Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Mask precisely because it has all of those qualities he described. If this one is a lot cheaper in terms of price per ounce, I'll probably be trying it whenever the occasion arises that I want to treat myself. [Thankfully I never paid full price for the PTR mask.] 💕
Sephora has trial size bundles, which is how I started my Glow Recipe journey.

I’m newer to a skin care routine, and I’ve heard so many good things about this brand that all my first skincare products are from them. So far I’m loving them!
The blueberry cleanser is also in my "can't live without." I thought it was just a nice cleanser, until I tried something else, and I realised that the blueberry one was keeping all of my skincare woes at bay! I switched back, and they all went away!
I absolutely love the watermelon glow sleeping mask. Sinks in well and leaves my skin soooooo soft 😄
the aesthetic and what you say about this brand makes me want to try it all lmao, also not skincare related and sorry if this comes off as weird (idk how to express myself properly sometimes bc english isn't my mother tongue) but your videos have quickly become a safe space for me, like idk why they're sooo relaxing i even sometimes use them as asmr 😅 (i think it's your tone of voice but like in a good way!)
I just got into Glow Recipe and I'm loving everything I've tried so far. My absolute favorites are the mist and the niaminacide glow serum! So so good!!
The watermelon mask is supposed to peel of if you rub. It is an overnight mask and you have to wash it off the morning after. It is the best sleeping mask ever! Made my skin so super smooth and radiant I cannot live without!
Glow recipe is a fun brand. I do enjoy the niacinamide glow drops, but other than that, I turn to stronger products. I'm 38, so anti-aging is my primary concern. Pretty packaging cannot be disputed, but for me the results and ingredients just aren't quite enough for me. 15 years ago oh my yes! I would say their products are good, but for my aging skin, they just aren't strong enough. Wonderful review as always!!!

This is by far the most organized product review ever! I don’t know what’s more beautiful ur video ur skin ur nails ur accent lol I tried many skincare products my go to was clinique but then I don’t know I was immune to it and my skin was not improving then I was using peach and lily and same thing got used to it. I ordered hero products and it worked sort of well still felt the dryness on the skin and not that much hydrated. Then I bought the trials bundle with mini toner serum dew drops cream and for two days loved it and my skin started to get very well hydrated. I wasn’t sure if I should buy the full bottles but watching ur video helped a lot and I bought the plump cream limited edition pride toner and this serum bundle that had all the serums and dew drops I cannot wait to have them thank you for ur time and dedication on making these videos. ❤🎉😊

Love this video! I've kind of tuned out of the skincare world for a while now because I've got my routine down but this is making me think maybe I can elevate it a bit. Excited to try something new :)) the only glow recipe product I've ever tried is the ceramic serum, so maybe that's why I was a bit meh with them

I love glow recipe it’s the only brand I have used that made my skin look nicer! Other products and brands I just felt did nothing! It’s very gentle so doesn’t irritate my skin

Still haven’t tried any glow recipe , I must be the only one in the SKC that hasn’t .. so glad I saw this as I think this month I’ll take the plunge and switch out a beloved regular (👀) for a glow recipe option . The bottles 💕the colours 💕.. and James’s constant approval have forced my hand .

I can’t believe he didn’t put Dew Drops in “can’t live without.” It is my holy grail product. Mix it with your foundation/concealer or even dab a bit on your cheeks for a highlight. It’s PERFECT before makeup and it’s so hydrating and wonderful. I’m on my 6th bottle.
The strawberry serum, papaya enzyme balm, watermelon sunscreen and the toner are some of my favorites from the brand 🧡

Glow recipe is my go too (along with Cosrx). I have aging, dehydrated, irritated/red, freckled skin and use the balm, blueberry cleanser, and the toner, every day. I use the avocado retinol eye mask a couple times a week and the banana moisturizer is my holy grail! I never thought something so light could work so well on my skin. I’ve gotten so many compliments since I started using it. Love love this stuff ❤️

My skin is addicted to the papaya cleansing balm, but it’s also very dry. I also love the retinol eye mask, the plum moisturizer, the avocado serum, the guava eye brightening cream, the strawberry AHA serum, and the niaminicin serum. Unfortunately, the watermelon moisturizer is not even close to being strong enough for me. I started using this brand because of you, and I use it faithfully every night. I’ve never had a skin care regime to which I’ve been so committed. Even the scents function like aromatherapy to me. Thank you!! ❤

I got the watermelon pink juice moisturizer in a mini, used it once, thought it made my face a little sticky, and pushed it to the back of my product shelf. Your rave review makes me want to pull it out again. Cannot live without the watermelon mist (so relaxing) and the Niacinamide dew drops. Love the many other products I have tried. Currently I am infatuated with the banana soufflé moisturizer.
