I never called myself a COLORED. I always considered myself a NEGRO woman. Now, as time passed I learned my lineage: “Israelite.
Back in the 1980’s I came across information that colored Hispanics in Central & South America called themselves WHITE. I really don’t care what people consider themselves to be. However, I don’t understand why political black’s include those people by saying BLACK & BROWN while having a rainbow coalition. I’ve noticed every ethnic group on earth continue to pull-away from Negro’s while pushing us away.
Isn’t it more work to include STRANGERS, FOREIGNERS in our business. I would be exhausted.
    Peace.🌱

Apartheid Soth Africa used it very well when applying or filling out a form where they included a block for the different nationalities. But for Africans they identified them as 'black' and the last group in the category meaning we had the left overs and Europeans at the top. We used the art of singing hymns and struggle songs as a sanctuary for spiritual survival and determination to remain strong. African Americans used their ability to sing as a means to amass wealth in the order of the so called American dream where they then swiftly moved away from their African identity also look down upon those of their own who didn't make it and got involved in everything un African. Look around Africans are endowed with the ability to sing in a spiritual way and no other nationality possess this gift😢
