Thank you. I will make a post today for this device. IR35217MTRPBF 3v3 is VCC for this IC, you can get firmware from another Vega 64 Strix and flash a new IR35217MTRPBF
@@Xorat I think they are cause they both share the same reference pcb design and components, and also people tend to flash the bioses between both cards so I'm assuming it would work just fine
maybe the costumer had used one of the elmorlabs i2c products to OC its card and something went wrong. your costumer is definitly a special one. normal users are not monitoring their phases under oszilloskop, they simply have none. But good job and great video.

How did you know the mosfets were bad (yes you used the camera), but how did you know it was not just the controller giving the mosfet bad signals? You would not just change the controller, measure the mosfets, then change them? Thanks for the videos.
Thank you for the video Kris. So you use the data lines to capture then to write to the phase controller chip. Very interesting. I am very old and will never perform this fix but it is very interesting to me. My guess is you had to run the chip to find the values to write. My question is, if the phase controller is faulty, how do you know the values you wrote are correct. My guess is just the card working after your fix is the only way you could without the factory chip program. Oh wait, you can look at the phase signatures when running even before load is supplied. Thus this will tell you what the fault is even before the furry donut will drop the card out.

Which software version are you using with your usb005? I have multiple vega64 gpus with missing pmics. The software documentation says that there are two versions: POL PowIRCenter (no license) 3.2. Full PowIRCenter (license required) And If there is no IR DPDC License.txt license file in the C:\IR_PowIRCenter folder. The GUI will run in POL mode. Only the following devices are available for use. Manhattan Family : IR38060, IR38061, IR36062, IR38063, IR38064 Comanche Family : IR36021 Rocky Family : IRPS5401 *Do you actually need the full version to program the IR35217?* Thank you for the great video :)

I have very similar issue with my Sapphire RX5700XT it crashes under load specifically in gaming. Aside from that, it only crashes on 3DMark stresstest (DIRECTX) and is stable on FurMark stresstest (OPENGL).
Hello Kris, i don't know if you will see this comment, but i do have 2 identical MSI 5700XT's that were mining for a long time; They will run furmark forever, but they will crash and reboot the system in any type of gaming load and/or 3dmark/unigine benchmark. I am guessing it's vram related, but how can i test if it's the power or gddr5 module?
I have the same problem with the RX 570 card. Due to the execution of the test software, the image turns black and the image returns again. The test software gives an error and closes. This happens only when the card is under load. Because I don't have access to an oscilloscope, I can't fully test the phases . Also, thank you very much for your video

I've got a reference rx5700xt that might have same problems. I have to run it undervolted and underclocked but adrenalin software resets my settings here and there. Have You ever wonder why IR35217 taken from VEGA card and putted to 5700 xt works perfectly fine without any programming? VEGA and 5700 xt have completely different configuration.

Would correcting the ringing on that pulse affect the stability, for example, with undervolt and overclock? Ringing can be smoothed out by some impedance matching or maybe adding some capacitance in signal path.

I do not hear or see the solder fumes rapidly removed if you have a remote fume extractor. You are injuring yourself with heavy metal ingestion. It takes a while but is irreversible when inside. Hi where are you located, i have 2 gpus one a 1080ti and a 5700xt the 5700xt was my main gpu till it just stoped posting and wont show on device manager, and the 1080ti with simulor issue but that card was a friends so dont know,

i have same problem with my RTX 3060 TI, when furmark running then black screen, but why i can solve the problem by lowering memory clock to 13000mhz, and underclock to 1500mhz, now furmark can running without the problem, i do underclock with aorus engine for gigabyte gpu, and yeah yo do amazing work,

Hello bro, Have u managed to fix your problem ? I have the same issue with Aorus rx 580 8GB, It crashes undear load / video games. When I set power limit in AMD software or MSI Afterburner to -50, It doesnt crash but I dont know if my GPU performance is being affected by this or not.
