Funny how this predates X challenge. Also, this story is (kinda) Canon, X was meant to be the villain in Megaman Zero, with this twist possible connecting with it.
To those who don't understand the what the hell is up with the end, here is a couple of hints that some mega man fans might know. 1. Take note of the music being played at the begining of the level. 2. X seems out of character 3. Serges: "Who are you?" 4. After X says "No Maverick shall enter my paradise." music plays. This should be a dead give away to anyone who played Mega Man Zero.
After he sealed the Dark Elf, his power is seperated into 5 pieces. 4 of them are the guardians. The last is a cyber-elf form of X so he can wander around finding Zero and help him. The one helped Zero in mmz1 3 is cyber-elf X
I think that's a reference to how Mega Man Zero was originally supposed to take place after X5, and the original X was going to be the villain. But then Capcom made X6 without even telling Keiji Inafune about it, so Mega Man Zero didn't happen until after X8.
Capcom didn't made X6 without telling Inafune about it. Actually, Inafune left Capcom with X5 ended. So the company created X6 without any help of Inafune.

Basically, for X to have never met Zero would have resulted in him being all high and mighty in the head. Remember that X thought of Zero as his best and only friend. Solitude has strange effects on the mind.

Why is it after 25 years capcom has rarely if ever used the concept of the multiple enemy battle? It would have been great if this battle was in X2. Battles like this would really make the seemingly overkill collection of subtanks, armors and weapons you collect throughout the game seem useful and have a point!
wow that was cool a little for shadow there, they should have done that in the original X game, after you fight those guys one at a time, they come back one last time (all three of them) to try and take you down. That would have been awesome

Mavericks are Reploids. Technically robots, yes, but robots made to be as humanlike as possible. Eventually they got so similar that they were neigh indistinguishable. It stands to reason that they'd bleed, though it may not be actual blood, or... maybe it is.
Capcom wants us to use our imagination for most of the plotholes in the storyline, perhaps it's because they can't fix their own contradiction, perhaps it's really intended, but in either case, if you want precise infos on the Megaman timeline from classic to Legend, Visit the Megaman Network furom, there's a guy there named Zan Sidera...he knows a whole lot...
Sigma contracted the virus from Zero during the fight shown between the two in Mega Man X4. It was one of those flashback videos. But regardless, Sigma went into the fight cool, calm and collected, then left the fight with a certain aggression about him. That's when he went all angtsy against the world

Dr. comes in and creats sigma to take down zero, then infected with the zero virus, Dr cain finds X and he joins the M-hunters. X saga starts

All of x's phisical power was being used to keep dark elf imprisoned till her curse goes away and X's spiritual power took the form of a cyber elf.
what the shortness this game went a vile together with the x-hunters (the three personalities to dr willy with according with manga of Megaman x2 vol 1 ) and I must say if which would have been a major challenge and epic though this is a parody of x you could say that this was the years that x was fighting only when zero went to cryogenics by 102 years according to the end of megaman x6
nah it can't be copy x. according to the chronology of the zero series, x disappeared decades prior to the first zero game, and was ressurected as copy X by ceil only a a few years prior to her finding zero. and since the maverick wars ended around the time of the dissapearence of X, these guys would have been dead long before copy x ever existed. There for i figure it's the true X, after being possessed by the mother elf. which would explain his power boost.

Builder28 Gold This is supposed to be the false X that gives Zero a hard time in the Mega Man Zero game series. The clues to this are that most of the music comes from that series. I didn't find that out until much later.

I think the game you're talking is Megaman 21XX (Not "Fall of 21XX). It's a fan game that's buggy as heck, lol.
