The XT3 looks really, really great head to head with the 6K. I own both the Pocket 4K and the 6K and I can tell you the clips where people might think the XT3 is sharper, is really just the difference in glass. The Pocket 6K produces incredibly detailed footage with modern, sharp glass - something like the Sigma 18-35! I would like to know how both cameras were corrected and if they were graded to match. I know different corrections (like a LUT, CST or by hand) tend to leave the final image looking different -- almost in a stylistic manner. I think a good example of this are the Buttery LUTs; they're really great but alter colors significantly when put side by side to a Color Space Transform or even the Blackmagic official LUT.
Blackmagic does look better, but not enought better than the X-T3 to make it worth all the hassle around it. X-T4 is in my opinion a downgrade because of the stupid selfie sceen. For vloggers, I get it, but for everyone else it's just a massive inconviniece. Glad that we still have the X-T3 to get, now at better prices.
Great vid! X T3 results look superior, sharper and amazing!. 7:56 mark...the X T3 has that option, but on two different dials and all your video and settings are retained.
So it looks like you're showing that you can match a black magic clip to the Fuji. The capabilities of black magic raw are so much more than any 10bit or pro res footage I've seen in its ability to push all colors to whatever you want.
@@connormccaskill I have the xt3 but I'm excited for the ibis this will make handheld video work so much easier.. Will keep my xt3 as a back up tripod video or stills camera.. Next on the list is the 200mm f2
It is a personal choice on what focal length works for you ... i have most fuji lenses what sits on my camera the most is 23mm f1.4 a great lens for everything But if u wanna make ur talent look more flattering n still have a sort of wide feel go for 35mm f1.4 or my other personal low light beast but a Manu lens is mitakon zhongyi 35mm f0.95 mark ii
Too much red in the P6K. At 3:59 the guys hair and black shirt have a red cast in them which is just like the shot with the water. Seems to be a BM issue as I always see a red cast from their Pocket cameras. Did you white balance first?
Also cinema cameras don't have digital sharpening baked in the final picture, Hollywood movies rarely have that extra sharpness - in fact they often use filters like Black Pro Mist to soften up mid-tones and highlights even more.
I expected it to but its still disappointing all the same. I was hoping to have more dynamic range from the xt series. I want a pocket cam, but its just not as practical.

Hello Dave, here is my opinion,i have BMPCC 4k and i love the picture and the menu, there are some cons, of course, like , HD only via HDMI, not good for stills, and bad battery life. From other side Fuji is also great with super quality footage, but again many cons, the body is too small for me, and, as soon as i see this super tiny HDMI port, i totally hate it. Again bad battery, so i can say that they are equally bad cameras with equally good picture quality. lol
4:00 without C-AF and IBIS that XT4 now has, BM 4k and 6k will always lose in picture quality. You can clearly see what I am talking about at this timecode, your face is totally smudged. BM cameras are extremely limited in application, not even comparable to XT4.

I feel the same!! Fuji glasses aren’t good for video and don’t show xt3/4 full potential! Try the meike’s cine lenses... it changes everything

If you would zoom in 100%, you would be surprised to find, that the XT3 actually has less fine detail than the BM6K camera.

Likely because you can’t shoot BRAW in 4k it has to be 6k or 2.5k and below

The Fuji is actually a 6k downsampled sensor so it’s not surprising... many people miss this fact

Absolutely. My color grading skills aren’t the best but the Blackmagic has so much more dynamic range and a more cinematic look in my opinion
