The praying mantis egg case is most likley a chinese mantis ooth(egg case) it will hatch anywhere from 50-200 mantids, and they will be smaller then the lady bugs. This species is native to the us so unless you A will let them fight a gladitaroial fight to the death you should just release them, and release the lady bugs. (I am a mantis breeder. These are sold as natural pest controll in the us an was introduced to the us in the 1800s)
The mantids that hatch will need fruitflies, Drosophilia Melanogastor to be specific (pet shops carries cultures that cant flie) its abit hectic especially as mantids are cannibalistic. But you can keep them if you find it interesting.
