These are great! A very nice mini-system for practicing extensions. Even though I am a Piano With Jonny member, I get most of my practice modules and new ideas from PWJ RUclips videos and Instagram posts. Makes my musical journey additions spontaneous and intuitive. Thanks, Jonny. Your work is a key part of my practice regimens and new inputs.
Summary. Major Chords are now Maj9, Maj13, and Maj13#11. Modes are Ionian and Lydian. Minor Chords are now Min 6/9, Min9, and Min11. Mode is Dorian. Dominant Chords are now Dominant 13#11, 7#9b13, and the special V to I which is V13b9#11 to a tonic major 9. First chord is Lydian-Dominant (Mixolydian b7), second is Aeolian, the last may be Locrian (Root - Major 3rd - Omit 5 - Dominant b7 - b2/b9 - b5/#11 - b6/b13). So many colors to work with......
Thanks - very useful. However, I'm not sure maj13 is the correct notation for those chords in hack2: They lack both the 9th and the 11th, so I think they should rather be notated as Maj add13. The hack3 chords I would notate as maj13 no11.
you're explaining options with sus24 on the 6. thats like watering the cabbage to then harvest it and juice it . then freeze it and then cook with the frozen cubes to make a reduction which you leave for 40days abd then put in the ground to grow more cabbage.
