I've definitely noticed this as well. Seems to be an issue with the game fetching values it needs for calculation as it "realizes" it needs to obtain that information. We'll see how the next patch addresses that (if it does)

If i had to guess then, that flicker is from the game's antialiasing implementation. Its not uncommon. Was the comment about the AMD GPUS's a slight against them? I was planning on switching from an intel/nvidia setup that I currently have to a full AMD set but I haven't read enough people test if there's a benefit to Nvidia over AMD when it comes to Tarkov.
Yes in part- as we *originally* thought stuttering while shooting was an AMD driver issue. Some people have had issues with AMD driver support (particularly at the higher end) but generally, I see no issue buying AMD for most users. Their drivers have definitely improved over the past half-decade or so. Also definitely check out pyurologie's channel- he has benchmarks for a ton of GPUs (granted he uses upscaling for them) so you'll be able to try and get a range for performance if you have the CPU power to spare.
Thanks for the video. I believe I disabled mine awhile ago and have been having occasional micro stutters recently. Interestingly I was playing last night and I was full freezing up during some fights. I also use auto ram cleaner. Is there a reason it has got significantly worse recently? I run a nvidia gpu btw.
This is exactly what I was seeing with it off and with Auto RAM Cleaner on. My theory is that the game, without memory compression, is accidentally culling assets and data that it needed. This forces the game to "pause" to go and retrieve that data before continuing (causing that hard "stutter" you feel when shooting or traversing the map).
Are these settings correctly configured? its cute to think that that your in WW3 yelling at the top of your lungs bout some benchmark results, meanwhile some poor soul is fighting Kaban with a PM pistol.
Thats a good question. I should have mentioned it more in the video, but the TLDR with mem compression is that it allows Windows to dynamically compress data in RAM that is infrequently accessed, possibly helping with RAM consumption. As far as I can see, I think having memory compression off and mixing it with Auto RAM cleaner is causing is to overclean, getting rid of assets that the game *should* have kept. When that happens, the game needs to take time (or "stutter" as we feel it) to go and fetch that needed data, causing that freeze.
All I have is 7.1 Surround Sound set up for my headset via GHub and then binaural on. Don't worry though, you're not the first one who thought it sounded a bit weird lol
I would just keep it on true if it was already set to that. As far as I understand, that is default, and those who have it set to false did it on the word of other optimization channels. You can feel free to try it though as I wont harm anything as is very easily re-enabled.
It depends on the system. For me it was SO MUCH better with it on, but it seems like some other find the opposite. Either way, if you have this bug with stutters, flip this setting from on to off or off to on and see if the other setting helps.

I get stutters on tarkov pretty bad but having this setting either way felt the same to me. Any suggestions?
yooo i cant disable it how come ?
I have the 7800xtx and amd drivers are goofy but it runs tarkov extremely well.
@@Wdbjr12345 can you explain by "goofy?" Just the GPU driver or CPU as well?
@@klemintime1452 Thank you, I'll look at their channel.
@@RedDevilGamingBRiBI have a 7950X3D and 7900xtx and my game runs smooth as butter
I feel like whenever I'm in combat, I experience slight lags or whenever I shoot or take hits

@@Wilco23 It could be that or other optimization packs that you've used that have gone ahead and disabled all of that. Feel free to tinker but remember, google is your best friend. Always check before you change stuff!
i have no access to use anything on powershell what can i do?
Was powershell launched in administrator mode?
If it says “access denied” after you enter get-mmagent, what do you do then?
Did you start PowerShell as administrator ?
its cute to think that that your in WW3 yelling at the top of your lungs bout some benchmark results, meanwhile some poor soul is fighting Kaban with a PM pistol.
I unironically plead for my life while benchmarking in live raids and I'm not ashamed of it lmao
nice as usual, but whats the science behind it?, i tried to read about it but i didnt understand much
Thats a good question. When that happens, the game needs to take time (or "stutter" as we feel it) to go and fetch that needed data, causing that freeze.
that makes sense, thank you for your time klem, god bless@@klemintime1452
mem comp > get-mmagent is access denied for me. why?
Start powershell as Administror
you using 5.1 audio or something? game sounded weird. It sounded like when you enable the new Windows spacial sound feature or whatever it is.
All I have is 7.1 Surround Sound set up for my headset via GHub and then binaural on. Don't worry though, you're not the first one who thought it sounded a bit weird lol
Should I try to disable it to see if it's gonna do anything or should I just keep it on TRUE ?
I would just keep it on true if it was already set to that. As far as I understand, that is default, and those who have it set to false did it on the word of other optimization channels. You can feel free to try it though as I wont harm anything as is very easily re-enabled.
@@klemintime1452 much appreciated as always. Love to you brother !
in short should I enable it or disable it?
It depends on the system. For me it was SO MUCH better with it on, but it seems like some other find the opposite. Either way, if you have this bug with stutters, flip this setting from on to off or off to on and see if the other setting helps.
how do u get the fps bar on the left with the graph?
It’s through Riva statistics tuner (generally downloaded with MSI afterburner). Under the monitoring tab in afterburner settings choose ‘frame time’ to show in OSD and select ‘text and graph’
thx

doesn't binaural audio cause similar issue with the stutter?
Audibly yes, but I have not heard of binaural causing stutters while shooting as of yet.

I am able to do it in the original admit account but not my usual account as an admit. Do you know how I get do it or it is simply impossible?
@@pasuhk997 Hm- there shouldn't be any issue, but I think you might be able to change the scope of any command using the "set-executionpolicy" command. I'll link you the docs for it here so you can read up on it and change it from your original admin account: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/microsoft.powershell.security/set-executionpolicy?view=powershell-7.4
Better yet, have you tried just changing the policy in the original admin account and seeing if that transfers over?
