  • I'm not big on rack units generally but in a side by side comparison, it's pretty clear that there is a big difference between the PRO and Standard Virtualizers from Behringer.

    Cool demo, you showed what effects and parameters the machines had to offer. I plan on getting the pro version to use on vocals through a pa system and mess around with it at home for recording and mixing other instruments.

      @@gearfacts I record audio and video separately which is slightly more work than direct injecting a stereo line into the camera. With an inexpensive Zoom camera for about $150 you can record video and audio line in, then just edit a little in a video editing program.

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  5 лет назад

      Wilderness Music my setup these days is a fair bit more elaborate than that that. This review is something like a year old. I now use a Tascam BB-800 field recorder with dual XLR sockets and a Shure headset mic. I had a Zoom HD camera for a while but its video quality was slightly poor (classic CCD sensor colours and edges) and the line-in recording cancelled out the stereo mics. After trying about 5 different cameras I found that the iPhone, as much as I hate to admit it, outperformed all of them for the kind of work I do. I began reviewing with a Yamaha pocketrak handling the line recording (superb quality) and just having voice and visuals done by the camera. My recent and expensive move to the pro-level bb800 is still embryonic, but the idea is that I can record both voice and instrument directly all at once. This means I can simply line up the audio and video, re-compile the whole thing and then edit it all in one go. Anyway, we’ll see how it goes once I’ve mastered its idiosyncrasies :)

      @@gearfacts Oh, sorry, did not know this video was that old because of its upload date. Strange how dedicated consumer video cameras are still struggling with audio/video. It was rhetorical, merely intended to expose the wasted time spent criticising something when you already have the insight you require. Presumably submitted purely for the enjoyment of criticising, as the comment provides less useful information to viewers than the video itself. A common behaviour among people who haven’t uploaded anything.

      As stated, the review production quality is a discredit to the product and to a degree, your credibility as a reviewer. I think we all have a responsibility as a publisher, to produce content which the public can use and benefit, unfortunately this is not the case here. Can I rely upon what you have produced here as a review on an audio device to help me select this product - with the inferior production of your audio, it is clearly misleading.
