According to Steam Hardware Survey (millions of players), the average PC gamer is still using a PC spec far below Series X/PS5. The idea that the majority of PC players are using high end hardware is a fantasy. It's closer to 5-10%.

I don't remember Returnal being so blurry. PC version looks great, they really did some improvements, Also different GPUs performance comparison makes me appreciate even more that devs managed to give us solid stable version of a game given the hardware. I also like this approach with no graphics options because since even rtx 3060 can do pretty much everything PS5 does this choice between two graphics modes feel like - you have to leave something behind, you can't have a full-fledged game expirience, pick your poison
on PS5 its reconstructed from 1080 to dynamic 1440p, missing RT features now that PC has. PC is native 4K. If a game has no sharpening filter like FSR, you'll notice the difference in a video or screen.
There is a huge difference between the Returnal pc and the ps5. We played the game officially in the pitch dark on PS5, the lights on the PC, rtx dlss, whatever you want, are full. That game came as an exclusive, but at least set the lights on the console side.

Also the game is over a year old on PS5. It would be a lot better if it was released now with FSR2 upscaling. For some stupid reason the devs only have option for FSR 1.0 on the pc version.
@@Dark-qx8rk Maybe because they were already doing the port before fsr2 was officially released, they are just assumptions, but it seems that it was because of that, returnal was released on ps5 on 4-30-2021, fsr2 was released on the second half of 2022, it may be that they will develop returnal with the pc version in mind, it would not be strange since playstation has been releasing games on pc since august 2020 and the development of the horizon ZD port was announced in march 2020 Taking into account the same dates from the beginning of 2019 to the end of 2018, they may be the dates on which the port began to be developed, or it may be like God of War that spent 2 years of development on the port and Horizon was in development since the beginning of 2018, if we take all that into account, they would not have been able to implement fsr2 because what they had at that time was fsr1. But again, these are just assumptions. Actually none of us really know why they didn't implement it
Combat in Returnal at sub-30fps is NOT the way to enjoy the gameplay. Don't fool yourself into believing it's "okay". The Deck is amazing, but sometimes the compromises take away from the intended gameplay.
@@VisualNovelWorld That wasn't the point at all. You're the one that jumped straight to PS5 and got triggered. Playing this game at 60fps or higher on ANY machine is a far more enjoyable combat experience, period.
@Griffgames I have a 3080 although its not my taste of game ill either wait for sale or skip it entirely but given the benchmark performance my GPU can easily output 80FPS at maxed out setting 4k, So i play both Performance and Quality.
The PC version is what the PS5 had the potential to look like if they optimized it better. Much more demanding games arent internally rendered at 1080p, but it still looks good.
I don't think PC gets better textures. Just higher rez and sharpening. I think this was a rushed game for PS5, you can tell by the rez. I've seen crap cards by todays standards pushing much higher rez, makes no sense. The game has obviously has been updated for PC in many area's. on PS5 the game has raytraced ambient occlusion and Ray traced 3d audio. They most likely spent their budget in some wrong choices. PS5 games should always be 1440p or higher @ 60fps. This is a corridor shooter tbh. Small area's. Also Unreal 4 is a no no.
Micro stutter is the issue for this game. I have it on PS5. It runs so smooth. Then I purchased it on steam. I have an RTX 4090 and it stutters. Takes you out of the game.
given how close the steam decks version is to the PS5 70% of the time, is the PS5 version not hitting the consoles potential? I mean the PC max settings are vastly better with not much difference bw the SD and PS5 yet the PS5 is about 6-6.5x more power GPU wise. For instance 5:00

The PC version is superior in almost all ways except for some shadows on dynamic objects. It looks like it is missing 'some' of the shadows at around 1:20 when they are lit from a parallel angle ie. non-perpendicular.
no. PC no es superior.. es superior el hardware solo si es gama media alta o alta... una PC de gama media baja no se vería igual... hay que separar 2 cosas
Lol Am I the only one that doesn’t see that much of a difference? Literally the PC version is just brighter with reflections.. And what’s hilarious is that 90% of PC fanboys have mid range PCs that still can’t keep up with a $400-$500 PS5 🤣

Climax Studios I was sad to read your comment
@@VisualNovelWorldI had never heard about that Studio before today even though I saw on their website that they did Crackdown 3 and DIRT 2.0
I wouldn't be surprised if Sony ends up buying them like they did with Nixxes for PC Ports only.
@JoN GameZ Hope so, the performance was Top notch 👌. As well as the quality improvement over PS5.
With the money you pay for a high end gaming PC, of course you should expect better results on that PC. Simple economics of game technology.
And with static console hardware that released in 2020 as a low/ midrange gaming pc equivalent, you should expect it to be equal to a low end gaming pc in 2023. 🙃
@@3dgelord187 With these GPU prices, "low end" gaming PC in 2023 is dead.
@@marcelosoares7148 According to Steam Hardware Survey, the average PC gamer is still using a spec far below Series X/PS5.
@@griffgames9538 Yup, all the GTX 1060/1650 are starting to show their age sadly, especially the 1650 with only 4GB of VRAM.
your argument stuck in 2012 lmao no need for high end PC to get max settings in single player game
The water reflections on pc are fucked up. Where is all that light coming from that's reflecting on the water???
Yeah exactly it's like a bright mirror effect. To shiny.
PC looks fantastic but honestly, considering its price, the ps5 is putting out some great image quality. Not bad
Actually none of us really know why they didn't implement it
gracias por tener en cuenta a la steam deck!
The Steam Deck is an absolute unit! How is this handheld playing these demanding titles!!1
Facil, es un PC de toda la vida
The Steam Deck is my future of going foward
Handheld PC's are the most relaxing and exciting way to play Video Games for me
Wow, how is it running games at low ass settings, truly amazing 🤣
Cause it’s low settings looking like a switch game … it’s a ps4 game not demanding
@@darrenchilds5034 it's a PS5 only game. The most demanding thing about it though are the almost instant load times
I didn't even have to search for this, YT just knew this is what I came to see this evening on here😎
Looks way better than ps5
It's old hardware, the new model (Pro version) will have better hardware.
Combat in Returnal at sub-30fps is NOT the way to enjoy the gameplay. Don't fool yourself into believing it's "okay". The Deck is amazing, but sometimes the compromises take away from the intended gameplay.
Bruh you are soo triggered trying to make PS5 look better by any means. 🤣🤣🤣
PS5 is a great platform but their fan clowns are hilarious
@@VisualNovelWorld That wasn't the point at all. You're the one that jumped straight to PS5 and got triggered. Playing this game at 60fps or higher on ANY machine is a far more enjoyable combat experience, period.
@Griffgames I have a 3080 although its not my taste of game ill either wait for sale or skip it entirely but given the benchmark performance my GPU can easily output 80FPS at maxed out setting 4k, So i play both Performance and Quality.
Am I the only one who think it looks way too bright on pc? I mean at 0:56 it almost looks like something is wrong with the lighting in general
That's ray tracing. It's not bright, it's correctly reflecting other light sources.
The PC version is what the PS5 had the potential to look like if they optimized it better. Much more demanding games arent internally rendered at 1080p, but it still looks good.
I need the sequel of this game. Everyone, please buy it for sequel😢.
Best game in the world.. Real goty 2021
Never getting a sequel because the devs said they are working on something new.
I am dreaming of a sequel too my real goty 2021 too top notch game

On PC, you can pay to reach the top.
I would hope that a console launching in the late 2020s could do even better 🤞😂
Ps5 shows it's limitation but nobody should be surprised. Console = budget gaming.
Man this game does look impressive running on a PC with all of the settings cranked.
when you buy a PS5 but you should have bought a steam deck lol
Yep not really big difference between ps5 and steam deck except resolution and weeds but massive between deck/ps5 and Pcmax 😲

bruhh Steam Deck is the beast of handheld.
wow...bro, those are really massive upgrade visuals on PC, funny that we have the low graphics PS4 version on Steam Deck XD
Steam Deck is so cute trying to run newest AAA games...
its still crazy that it can run the game at all lol
The water on PC with ray tracing is so far from the reality, RT off always !!!
nothing never WILL be better then PC
Micro stutter is the issue for this game.
I have it on PS5. It runs so smooth. Then I purchased it on steam.
I have an RTX 4090 and it stutters. Takes you out of the game.
given how close the steam decks version is to the PS5 70% of the time, is the PS5 version not hitting the consoles potential? I mean the PC max settings are vastly better with not much difference bw the SD and PS5 yet the PS5 is about 6-6.5x more power GPU wise. For instance 5:00
That’s because the devs who did the pc port are Better than that crappy dev house marquee

When PS5 already starts looking last gen, lol seems that 16GB shared memory just ain't gonna cut it for these games that wanna go the extra mile on graphics

Nice catch on that bug, something to fix.

Another good vid, Analista.
Lol Am I the only one that doesn’t see that much of a difference? Literally the PC version is just brighter with reflections.. And what’s hilarious is that 90% of PC fanboys have mid range PCs that still can’t keep up with a $400-$500 PS5 🤣
Trust me when I say the RUclips vid Is not giving you the actual Visual fidelity of this game on the PC. and I have it on the PS5. as well. PC is just mind boggling and hard to believe how amazing it looks. I do admit i am running it on an RTX 4090. Not exactly a cheap GPU

Wow 😳 On Pc , Returnal look really good 👍 Not playing on Ps5 , but on pc with Dualsense interesting to play ⏯️

Yeah my Ryzen 9 5900x and Rx6800 plays it the same as the 3080 in your video which is great. I can't believe how much the ray tracing pops compared to the PS5.
