Fantastic project & masterfully done. I love that the pump is mounted low compared to the waterline, you'll never have any pump cavitation which plays havoc with pump seals. 👍 No doubt you'll have an isolating valve for the pump suction so you don't flood yourself, & a oneway valve on the pump output, but I'd recommend: 1 .. Fit an isolating valve on the pump outlet line so you don't just rely on the float valve.. 2 .. Put up a helpful sign as a memory jogger to make sure that you remember to open the valves again after you're done cleaning the debris from the pump basket etc. Nice to have. Get yourself an Ozone Sanitation unit, they treat the water without using chlorine (which is normally introduced in the darker hours of the day). The Ozone Generator can be run during the day & powered by your solar system so you'll save heaps on electricity. There're health benefits of not inadvertently/accidentally breathing in chlorine fumes while manually dosing. Next advantage is that pH levels remain stable, so you don't have to monitor it or fork out for an automatic ph dosing system. On that, you won't need to store pool acid. I wish I'd discovered it all earlier, but better late than never.
