All of these were so cute but my favorite are the birds.❤
The candlestick is gorgeous💕. The technique on the birds looks great, I really like them. The cutting boards are perfect. I really like the metallic shimmer and glaze.

Hey Emily 😊 I was a Dixie Belle retailer for several years and just had to give it up do to my health getting in the way of being able to keep up with my 2 booths where my Dixie Belle products were held. With that being said, I have so much product on hand that it is absolutely unbelievable. I have Chalk mineral paint, metallic paints, BOSS, slick stick, white lightning, patina collection, crackle, Dixie mud, sea spray, best dang wax in all colors, easy peasy spray wax, guilding wax, glazes, cleat coat in all sheens, gator hide, blue sponges, big momma's butta, hemp oil, dixie dirt, both gel stains plus applicator pads, brushes both natural bristle and synthetic, continuous mister bottles, wood graining tool, WoodUBend mouldings, silkscreen stencils & mylar stencils. I literally do not have the room to keep all of this inventory, so therefore, I am willing to sell all products at a very discounted price. I see that you use DB often so I figured I would mention it to you. I am even at the point that on top of the largely discounted prices, I am willing to cut bigger deals the more you take off my hands 😜 Let me know if it is something you would be interested in and I can either message you or you can message me on FB or IG under Amber Moy or better yet NextGen Living Home Decor & Furniture. On top of that, I do have some IOD products, ReDesign with Prima products and JRV products that need to go as well 😜

Everybody in the world must've bought those birds! I see them all the time in the thrift stores. I finally bought a pair, painted them black and then used iridescent waxes on them. They turned out awesome!
Ohh that sounds beautiful Cass! All the texture on the birds must pop from the iridescent waxes!
@Wood Wine and Crafts I think so. I tend to like things that are "different." They are in my booth so I'll see if anyone else likes them!

Hi Emily! The cutting board is gorgie-oso! I have to tell you the truth, it is refreshing that you use different molds to everyone else. As beautiful as the IOD molds are, they are used by absolutely everyone and I feel they get overexposed.

New suber here! That 1st project, with the lamp stand, I just did a frame almost the same way, with Waverly ink and rub n buff silver instead and it came out very similar. BEAUTIFUL!!! Try that rub n buff (if you havent, but I find it hard 2 believe you haven't lol), it's amazing stuff! You need such a small amt for a big impact! Excited to see the rest of your content!!!😊❤

I absolutely LOVE how everything turned out, Emily‼️ Especially those mini cutting boards 😍 I bought a bunch of those well over a year ago and spruced them up and they have all sold between online & vendor events.

Beautiful projects. Have you tried sealing with the waxes yet??? You will love them.
Thank you! I have used waxes - I usually use dixie bell clear wax/dark wax or DIY white wax 😊

The projects turned out great! I have IOD moulds and use them and I will say the micro-rim does help with removing excess clay but there’s nothing wrong with using the Prima moulds either. One thing I’d like to mention, and you may have done this and I missed it, but if you put a dusting of cornstarch in the mould (before adding the clay), it’ll help your clay release easier from the mould.

Thank you!! I didn't have any cornstarch on hand so I used baking powder 🤣 Definitely just need to keep working with the product!
Be careful with the birds. They are alabaster and if you leave them in the water too long, they sorta start melting some. They come from Home Interiors. I don't like the dark on the bird, it just makes them look dirty. If you have trouble getting the molds to release the clay, put it in you freezer for about 15 minutes and they will just pop out of the molds. Why is everyone using the black wax. Almost everyone is using that black wax. For people who don't like it, it's hard to find a diyer that doesn't use it . Very discouraging. You are so very talented !!! I love the cutting. Board with black and white. Beautiful concept
