    Arginine upon waking, and citrulline pre-workout. There are far more used for arginine than just NO2. It has many metabolic pathways, and works better with citrulline, and creatine. Why choose one? Use both.

    • @lessdatesmoreonmyplates1457
      @lessdatesmoreonmyplates1457 3 года назад +5

      BINGO! Nobody else talks about this. When you wake up take 3-5g of L-Arginine, then hour before workout take 6-9g of Citrulline Malate (If you can buy pure L-Citrulline without Malate additive then you only need 4-6 grams of it, but for Citrulline Malate you need to take up to 9g to get the minimum effective clinically studied dose)

    Its crazy that I have never seen anyone do a review on the effects of taking 100mg Pycnogenol (Pycnogenol acts as a catalyst that makes the body absorb arginine and form it into NO) and 5g Arginine together resulting in way more energy production and less fatigue when training and increased blood flow by a large amount compared to taking arginine alone. It has benefited my bodybuilding lifestyle hugely.

    According to my information you don't have to use Citrulline Malate 2:1 because I already simulated it with the apple juice.

Question though, for someone as myself who doesn't do well with stimulants such as caffeine, will you ever put out a product like your Jym pre that is stimulant free? You can probably add some d-aspartic acid or arachadonic acid to juice it up a bit or even add in some karbolyn for added glycogen loading and pumps. Would buy it 10/10. keep up the good work mate.

    And how does citrulline help with increasing NO when citrulline needs NO to produce arginine? It is one equation and the stechiometry is trivial. It is one equation with two directions. You either consume citrulline + NO to produce arginine, or arginine to produce NO + citrulline by exactly the same amounts. So I don't get the point.
    Somebody mentioned the nitrate/nitrites pathway, I have no clue a out that as a way to produce arginine from citrulline without NO consumption.

      This is somebody whose currently doing a dissertation on the effects of citrulline malate on weightlifting performance.
      Studies show the enzymes arginosuccinate and arginosuccinate lyase (which are responsible for arginine synthesis via citrulline and vice versa) begin to degrade in elderly subjects. Curtis et al., (2005)
      The degradation of these enzymes means lower nitric oxide production, lower GH expression and lower protein content in the muscles.
      Hypothetically one of the reasons why the muscles begin to melt after a certain age

    I disagree when I comes to nitrosigine. I feel it is the best for pumps.

    When u say: don’t take L-citrulline, take citrulline malate. Should i be looking for something that called: citrulline malate, or “L” -citrulline malate ?
    A bit confused.

    Jim, any recommendations on a Citrulline Malate supplement for folks that cannot consume caffeine for medical reasons? Pre Jym has 300mg of caffeine per serving.

    Can you do a video on all the different types of caffeine that pre workouts are using? it's like a blend of strange forms.

    If that's true, then how do you explain all the supplements, and pre/intra/post workouts, and protein compounds that are combining L-Arginine and Citruline in the same bottle?

    i never had a problem with absorption of L-arginine. i worked up to 3 grams daily. In fact it worked better than creatine for me. People thought i was taking other stuff. I looked pumped all the time. However..it wrecked my stomach. I already suffer with acid and it increased it ten fold. So i stopped. Would actually consider taking Citrulline Malate. Just a quick note. creatine has been shown to increase male pattern balding

    nobody else free bases arginine? ez solutions man smh. it is the cheapest laxative I could amazon though. Real science says if you eat something ammoniated like old cheese it changes the charge on arginine base yielding more digestive friendly form. It may also block arginase in SI

    Is there a difference in L-Citrulline and Citrulline Malate? Everything I see says L-Citrulline Malate like they are one and the same.

    • @liaml.7529
      @liaml.7529 5 лет назад

      The L infront of it just indicates that it is a amino acid, so there the exact same.

      @@someguy2135 cittrilline malate is just cittrilline bonded to malic acid it helps with the absorption.

    So Arginine isn’t good because it’s not absorbed well ? But taking citruline alone makes arginine turn into NO ? Makes no sense
