We homeschool wherever is convenient for us. No dedicated room in our house. I have a computer desk in our dining room that my 10th grader will use, or she'll go in her room to work. My 8th grader mostly sits on the couch to do her work.

Yes we would all sit around the dining room table to homeschool. After a few years I put some at the table, some at their desk in their room and one at our desk in our computer room. They seemed to concentrate better if I spread them out. Some just needed the quiet space to focus. The others did fine with a little noise. You are doing a great job! It’s my first year in 26 years with no one to homeschool.😢 God Bless from Diane in Oklahoma! ❤

Wow 26 years!! That's incredible 😁. You must have so much knowledge about homeschooling. I'm just getting ready to start and I'm nervous and second guessing myself. Any advice you're willing to share would be greatly appreciated 😁🙏

@@nicoleadel1983 You will do great! One important thing to do is to find friends that homeschool and get together to exchange ideas. Our church always had many families that homeschooled. We would get together and everyone brought ideas that worked for them. It helps. I’m not sure how many kids you have but it’s important to remember that every child is different. My son was a visual learner and one of my daughters was hands on. You will learn quickly what works and doesn’t. Be willing to change it up for each child. I had one that did better with computers and one that needed books. I would mix match curriculum to fit each child’s needs. When you are feeling unusually stressed take a break and go outside with the kids and read under a shade tree. They can learn everywhere you go. My grandkids are young. When they go to the zoo they come back and talk about, draw, and write about their experience. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. There are so many resources available to help you. Above all as a Christian I would start the day with prayer because some days do not go as planned. It’s ok. It can be frustrating at times but SO worth it. I could go on and on but I’ll be praying for you as you start this journey. 🙏 God Bless!

We homeschool at our table. 5 kids but only 3 in school. I love rolling carts. We use a 10 drawer rainbow cart for the kids (each have a color and get 2 drawers). I also have a black "moms cart" for teaching material. Thank you for the video!!

We have a homeschool area, it's small. It's not a homeschool room. We start school at our desk but end up moving to the sofa.

I am in SA and here we hardly ever hear of someone homeschooling their kids. But I have to say, I dont think it matters where you homeschool in the house, because I tink the memories made between mom and kids being at home together are priceless!!
You are such a sweet and lovely family !

Yes we have a dedicated homeschool room. I only have 2 kids so it’s easy to put them and all our stuff in there. We have rolling carts and a table they work at and I have a couch in there for me 😊

I don't see the recipe down below, If you can add it?
We used to have our school room in the finished basement, but we were also always in the kitchen, it's just easier! God bless

We have 7 kids ages 14 down to 1. I have always had a baby or toddler so it’s been more convenient to do some school on the couch and the rest at the dining room table.

My younger ones homeschool in our dining room or on the couch. My high schooler and middle schoolers prefers to do their school at their desks in their room.

We have a spare bed room that we used as a homeschool room in the beginning but similar to yours it is not on our main level (it's in the basement) and it was way too hard with 2 younger babies to school down there. We have primarily schooled at our dining room table and it works so much better!
Love the organization tips, thank you for sharing 😊

You have probably answered this before but I'm a new subscriber. I was wondering if you homeschool all year round and just do some breaks or how that works for you guys? Do you have to turn anything in to your state when homeschooling?

We homeschool from August to May and take a summer break. We have to do progress reports, keep a planner, and samples of work. We also have to complete 180 school days.
