The fact that she said "I am a beauty RUclipsr and have access thus. You can just use an extra layer if moisture" makes her so genuine and down to earth. Love yoh Alex. Truly honoured to discover you
I love that your creativity depends on experimenting, iterating, exploring, getting inspo from other places (like a pink kitchen or wild dress), understanding art foundations, having fave tools but a good sense of when to use something new and just playing rather than simply buying whatever the new thing on Tik Tok is and never talking about it ever again. Getting ready with you is the best.
For anyone interested in a less expensive duo for double moisturizing, I use Neutrogena Hydro boost water gel, then top it with FAB Ultra repair cream. I have dry skin and these have changed my life. ❤
Holy cow. I was literally looking to see if anyone asked for an alternative so I could recommend the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel too. I don't use it daily (still pricey for me) but always before makeup. I use E.L.F. Holy Hydration for my dry areas but I think what works best for that depends on individual needs. If my skin is really dry I use Vanicream but only the tiniest amount. All products above are available fragrance free. Hydro Boost is really hyped and heavily marketed but it's so perfect under makeup.
HYDRO BOOST IS AMAZING I do confess I don’t like the water version it’s too wet for me I prefer the night concentrate. Neutrogena is recommended by my dermatologist and I have taken roaccutane on and off for years and neutrogena products have never made my face burn despite being super sensitive from the accuatane. Their daily face normal and with spf are great too.
The Neutrogena hydro boost gel and eye contour are great, very affordable and wear very well under makeup. They have an OK serum too but I agree, a richer moisturizer on top is way better
OMFG The cool colors near the bottom of the face, and the warm at the top idea was a major "Of course, that makes sooo much sense!!!!" moment for me! Thank you!!!
Anyone else who knows they can’t do this amazing short pixi hair a little jealous of the fact that she can pile on all the dew without having hair stick to her face!? 🤩 amazing work. I love watching and listening to you make it up.
Your videos are perfect, truly. I love how simple but precise they are- I’ve been in the beauty yt space scene since 07 and I honestly think you are this yt gen’s pixiwoo and I mean that as the highest compliment I can give. Thank you for continuously reminding me why I’ve stuck around the space after all these years
I'm literally a noobie when it comes to makeup, BUT your videos and tutorials have made a significant improvement to my daily makeup! Thank you for your hard work all the time🖤
Thank U for all your tutorials. I'm 57 an been putting make up on wrong an I looked good I thought yet since I been watching your channel I've learned so much. The great thing is you use makeup to enhance your beauty instead of all the rest I've tried to watch. U don't have to scrape your make off or plaster to much on . THANK YOU,THANK YOU THANK YOU. Can't wait to see what U have for new things Thanks again 😄😄😄
FYI for poor folk like me: Here’s some awesome moisturizers that are as good as or better than the Tatcha Creams and way cheaper: Dewy: Versed Skin Soak, Bliss Ex-Glow-Sion, Paula’s Choice Replenishing Moisturizer Water: Stratia Lipid Gold, Naturium Marine Water Cream, HaruHaru Black Rice Cream Love this tutorial! Probably my favorite look you’ve done! 🤌
I have completely different skin type, skintone, and face features with yours, but I really appreciate the techniques you shared in your videos cause they help a lot. Thank you so much Alex ❤
I've always loved your low key, logical presentations and your demeanor resonates a deep soul. Watching your channel has been relaxing and informative. Thank you.
Hey! For the bronzer stick, I confirm your pronunciation of Seine is perfect 👌 it's indeed a French river (on which you can have some boat trips to visit Paris 😊😊) Love your makeup BTW 🤩😘
Your nails look so good, like little gems, love the colour ❤❤ also thank you for your last video about preventing creasing under the eyes, game changer! It really helped ❤😊
Agreed I have been admiring this colour on her nails for a few videos now and would love to know what she’s using. It’s kind of sheer nude which I think looks so modern.
Your eyes are so beautiful and I think one of your best features! The sclera is so white with the depth of various green hues in contrast and your natural lashes is just beautiful! Yes I’m staring lol
I haven’t watched a makeup video on RUclips in ages but yours are ALWAYS worth the time ❤ I love your techniques so much. As a MAC mua for 10 years now, I can be stuck in my personal techniques, but you always inspire me to try different things. BRB as I’m making a wishlist of everything you used 😅🥰
I literally love your channel so much every video just feels so raw and genuine you changed the way I do my concealer for life and I thought it was funny cause this is exactly the same methods I use for my everyday makeup it’s so flattering on everybody I swear!!!
Gotta say, this is one of my favorite of your videos ever...the detail, without being onerous, the teaching of technique, so priceless, you clearly having FUN, reminding us that beauty and make up can and should be fun, so many reasons to love this tutorial! At first I sat down for the whole thing as my haircolor processes, and realized that ANY SINGLE ONE if these steps/ recommendations would make an great tip and improvement in ANY part of making up! I just love this and love you. Thank you sooo much.😏😍😇
Amazing!!!! I was doing a bit too much for my work look. It was a variation of this but more steps. This is what i needed to hear. Contour as eye shadow... that will cut my routine from 20 to ten minutes. Thank you for helping optimize my life!
I love how genuine you are with all of your videos 💖 you are by far my favorite makeup artist on RUclips thanks to you I've found out how to take care of my freakin face . So thank you 😊🙏
You taught me to appreciate LA Girl color corrector. It wasn’t great on me until I FiNaLLy really let my skincare sit well before application, as you always suggest! It Didn’t End Up Cakey, yay!
So beautiful! Love the naturalled down powder alternative, just defined enough eyeline & lashes, subtle eyebrow compliment, & focus on glow wisdoms! .... awesome celebration of natural look beauty!
I only watch your content for makeup, I love that you understand that not everyone has access to these fancy brands that are way too expensive for them! I love your content Alex! 💞 I hope you continue to get better from your cold. ❤
I still use my Lime Crime liner on a rare occasion and it makes me sad every time. It is/was truly the BEST lip liner shade to have ever existed! 😢 I’m trying to savor the bit that I have left.
Really good tip btw about the warmer tones coming from the top and cooler tones from underneath the face! Tips like that make it obvious you’re an artist first!
I I just wanted to tell you that one been following you for probably the last 5 years I think 🤔 and I'm 52 now and I've always worn makeup but until I found you and your amazing how to videos I have to say I looked horrible!!! My skincare and makeup game had elevated and I feel like I finally know what I'm doing. I'm fact my oldest daughter is your age and she now comes to me for makeup help and skincare solutions ❤
I use Differin for my breakouts. I have horrifically dry skin and it scars something awful. I would use Differin over Benzoyl Peroxide any day, but that just my experience. Maybe you've tried it and it doesn't work well. It's good if you can put it over moisturized skin to keep it from drying out more. 😊
Alex, thank you for teaching us - very often, while knowing the deets on the new stuff is great, the knowledge that we can put to use the most is the technical aspects of application and you consistently teach us the who/what/where/why - So, with that in mind, I could really use ideas on ways I can touch up mid to late afternoon if my under eyes are looking dry and creasy or the marionette lines are looking the same - What can I dab on or spray or manifest over, on top of product the add hydrated coverage and smoothing?
In wintertime, with the heating on, I need a rich primer in certain areas. I discovered glycerine, which is used as a humectant in skincare. It works perfectly and does not cost a lot… and a drop goes a long way.
Alexandra just wanted to tell you in looking up how to sculpt my face I came across you. I feel that was my lucky day. You are the best makeup artist I have ever seen on RUclips and I have seen many. Your makeup techniques are flawless and amazing. Thank you❤❤❤
It's nice to see someone still using Smashbox. I used to have mostly Smashbox until I got lazy and started buying mostly drugstore because I didn't want to go to Ulta or Sephora. But it seems like the last couple years, every time I go to Ulta and Sephora there is less and less Smashbox available. It's been surprising because they always had a full shelf but now it's a tiny sliver. Always thought their products were some of the best but I guess not many people agree anymore.
Hey Alexandra, I really love your videos! You have the best tips. I would LOVE a video in which you teach us how to do make-up but without foundation. I do not use it because it covers my freckles and, actually, I do not like to use too much make-up. I do use concealer, but I am not sure if I am using it correctly. Like, do I need a primer? Do I need powder? Tips on how to do a go-to make-up with fewer products maybe? How to take advantage of the things you DO use? THANK YOUUU
Oooohhhhh! Great idea--- I agree!!! I basically stopped wearing foundation when I hit my early 30s as I no longer was confident it blended and looked natural, and have really only been doing "spot/area" concealing & color correcting. (& Probably not doing it well...)
Of all the make-ups I've seen you do i love you the most when you do the natural make-ups. To me, there is nothing more beautiful than the natural kind of make-up that just makes one's traits pop. I am still wondering how the make-up holds using so much moisture beforehand but I will one day try to replicate it entirely. And no, i don't have an oily skin, rather a mix, oily on the forehead and maybe nose and regular on the rest of my face. Love you, lady! You are a great teacher!
I fluckn love your videos!! Best detailed tutorials and very talented. You have the most beautiful bone structure and face shape, you make everything look so effortlessly flawless! Congrats on your colab!! So proud for you!! Love ya girl!
god, I love you. I was searching for a Tatcha moisturizer dupe in another tab as soon as you said to just layer the moisturizer I have. you're the best!
Love your channel! You're personality is so easy going. It makes your videos so enjoyable to watch and learning makeup techniques less stressful for those of us who are learning. Lol. Thank you so much!
Penn Smith, here on RUclips, mentioned Vitamin K for around the eyes. I started using the Naturium Vitamin K Liposome Serum 5%. This feels very silky and has been really good for my rosacea, taking down the redness. The skin around my eyes has been more hydrated and imo a little lighter. Its definitely worth the try. Many blessings!!!💖💖💖
Alex, could you make a video on what you'd recommend for a makeup for people that are warm blooded and the makeup usually sweats off their face? 🙏 please and thank you ❤
Longtime lurker 👋 always so happy to see these longer videos that are kind of the culmination of many specific techniques used in your shorter more in-depth tutorials. Recently picked up the NYX wonderstick for Halloween, and have been experimenting with masculinizing my face & jawline using the theories from your contour videos. Thank you for the artistic inspiration and the technical advice both Alex! ❤🎉
Oh thank you Alex. Just watched this before bed. Will now take my make up off, promise. I’m 77 so have to watch the wrinkles, they appear overnight. But always use sunscreen. xx
Thank you for saying not to worry if it takes us a long time to do our makeup. I do it every morning and it is between 30 and 40 minutes no matter the look… this was validating. Happy Thanksgiving 🙏🏼❤⭐
37 minutes?! Class is in SESSION. Taking notes to wear this for my doctoral defense next month- thank you professor Alex 📝
You know I'm always here with the in-depth tutorials 🙌🏻
Good luck future doctor!!!!
Good luck!
You’re gonna nail it @sophiasouthern! Prayers going up for your success! 👍🏽
Good luck with that doctoral defense!
White turtleneck keeping me on the edge of my seat
😂😂😂 yeah, mine would have the Fawn all over!
The fact that she said "I am a beauty RUclipsr and have access thus. You can just use an extra layer if moisture" makes her so genuine and down to earth. Love yoh Alex. Truly honoured to discover you
This is literally the only beauty channel I ever watch anymore. Love Alex.
SAME.
Me too!
Alex is def the only beauty channel I trust
Love your videos. You're the best ❤ xo
Alex and Lisa Eldridge for me. I'm old.
🥹😭 This means the most to me 🙏🏼❤️
This woman is just beyond!!! She has the perfect face and bone structure for makeup and her education and how she teaches us is great.
this gives me the same comfort that i get when i watch bob ross
You truly have an artist's hand. That contour is cut to perfection, and you made it look effortless, HOWW
For anyone interested in a less expensive duo for double moisturizing, I use Neutrogena Hydro boost water gel, then top it with FAB Ultra repair cream. I have dry skin and these have changed my life. ❤

Little late the the party, but Walmart has a house brand of the hyrdroboost for half the price
The Neutrogena hydro boost gel and eye contour are great, very affordable and wear very well under makeup. They have an OK serum too but I agree, a richer moisturizer on top is way better
Thank you, Alex!! You are like a beautiful Bob Ross! An artist with a soothing voice 😍
lol YES
Very true, almost soporific 😊.
Aww I really love seeing you film with a home background :)
It’s a nice change of scenery
You have taught me so much! Could you do the same look using drugstore products please?
OMFG The cool colors near the bottom of the face, and the warm at the top idea was a major "Of course, that makes sooo much sense!!!!" moment for me! Thank you!!!
Anyone else who knows they can’t do this amazing short pixi hair a little jealous of the fact that she can pile on all the dew without having hair stick to her face!? 🤩 amazing work. I love watching and listening to you make it up.

This is such an awesome description! Millenial pixiwoo most definitely! lol
I'm literally a noobie when it comes to makeup, BUT your videos and tutorials have made a significant improvement to my daily makeup! Thank you for your hard work all the time🖤
*newbie
I'm here to second this. I recommend this beauty channel to everyone who compliments my makeup
Thank U for all your tutorials. I'm 57 an been putting make up on wrong an I looked good I thought yet since I been watching your channel I've learned so much. FYI for poor folk like me: Here’s some awesome moisturizers that are as good as or better than the Tatcha Creams and way cheaper:
Dewy: Versed Skin Soak, Bliss Ex-Glow-Sion, Paula’s Choice Replenishing Moisturizer
Water: Stratia Lipid Gold, Naturium Marine Water Cream, HaruHaru Black Rice Cream
Love this tutorial! Probably my favorite look you’ve done! 🤌
Thank you, that’s very helpful!
On what basis? Did you study and compare ingredients?
if anyone wants to try the haruharu black rice products beware it can irritate your skin
Explain how they’re “as good or better”…!
WHY are they better??!!!
I use aloe vera gel and rosewater with glycerin. Inexpensive.
I cant stop telling you how much I love your kind of videos. Calm, no BS, not deleting scenes between talking ❤️
I have completely different skin type, skintone, and face features with yours, but I really appreciate the techniques you shared in your videos cause they help a lot. Thank you so much Alex ❤
You have taught me so much about makeup 💕💕💕
😭🙌🏻
I've always loved your low key, logical presentations and your demeanor resonates a deep soul. Watching your channel has been relaxing and informative. Thank you.
IM SO HAPPY YOU POSTED THIS LOOK 😭😭😭 I loved it from your last video
Hey! For the bronzer stick, I confirm your pronunciation of Seine is perfect 👌 it's indeed a French river (on which you can have some boat trips to visit Paris 😊😊)
Love your makeup BTW 🤩😘
OMG thank you I was wondering if you'd do a video about that beautiful natural look!!!!!! So glad you did!!!
I love your go to look! I’m so glad you showed us all your techniques!
Thank you Alexandra. 😊
What a beautiful look! Thanks Alex!🌟
Your nails look so good, like little gems, love the colour ❤❤ also thank you for your last video about preventing creasing under the eyes, game changer! It really helped ❤😊
Will you share your nail color? So pretty! 😊

You have such a refreshing personality and aproach to makeup! Thank you for sharing your techniques
You were not kidding! That brow shade is a perfect match
Your eyes are so beautiful and I think one of your best features! The sclera is so white with the depth of various green hues in contrast and your natural lashes is just beautiful! Yes I’m staring lol
I love your channel you are so honest and down to earth.

I love the watching you apply your makeup. So calming and I usually learn something new
Id love to see an influencer wake up and do their makeup and be out the door by 5:30am
I know they all can do it! especially you Alex
like ACTUALLY
I love the way you give detail instructions - I appreciate you. Thank you for doing what you do
I literally love your channel so much every video just feels so raw and genuine you changed the way I do my concealer for life and I thought it was funny cause this is exactly the same methods I use for my everyday makeup it’s so flattering on everybody I swear!!!

“We’re just going to live with this zombie look for one sec” 😂 my thoughts exactly when I try that order of application.
You taught me to appreciate LA Girl color corrector. It wasn’t great on me until I FiNaLLy really let my skincare sit well before application, as you always suggest! It Didn’t End Up Cakey, yay!
I did this look and FINALLY it was a makeup that looks so good on me. Its so flawless. Thank you!!!!
Love this! Thanks for always walking us through the details and subtle techniques. Always learn so much watching your tutorials!
I absolutely love applying my makeup. Sometimes i have more fun putting the makeup on than wherever i had to go. lol!
I absolutely love the calmness that you are and the way you speak is, so special, idk. ❤️
So beautiful!
Love the naturalled down powder alternative, just defined enough eyeline & lashes, subtle eyebrow compliment, & focus on glow wisdoms! .... awesome celebration of natural look beauty!
Liking this without even opening the video yet. I just know I'm gonna enjoy this look so much! Thank you Alex!❤
🥹 luv yew 💜
Absolutely goregous! And you teach in a way that gives me confidence to do this! Thank you❤
Definitely big window to get the most light through the office. Kang window idea also great. Nerdiness doesn't go away 😊
I’ve been waiting for this! ❤ Thank you for what you do!
😘
I never hear anyone aoeak of the Tatcha Indigo. I love it just as much if not more than the dewy. With your dry skin I think you will love it too!
I only watch your content for makeup, I love that you understand that not everyone has access to these fancy brands that are way too expensive for them! I love your content Alex! 💞 I hope you continue to get better from your cold. ❤
THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST MOST PERFECT LOOKING MAKUEP IVE EVER SEEN YOU ATE QUEEN
It is perfect! I am going to practice corrector/concealer routine❤ Thanks for all of your suggestions.
Wow so excited to watch! Literally yesterday I was wondering if you were going to post a go to look sending love ❤

I watched this video yesterday and did my makeup this way today. It looks so natural and pretty. I love this look. Thank you Alex. ❤
you are simply the best. thank you for the long videos!😊
0:00 That opening, so smiley, so friendly, you deliver the line beautifully, and then all emotion leaves your face, that cracked me up😂😂
I use Differin for my breakouts. I have horrifically dry skin and it scars something awful. I would use Differin over Benzoyl Peroxide any day, but that just my experience. MAKEUP LINE? Yessssssssssss Pleeeeeez! 👍🏽❤️🙌🏽
Alex, thank you for teaching us - very often, while knowing the deets on the new stuff is great, the knowledge that we can put to use the most is the technical aspects of application and you consistently teach us the who/what/where/why -
So, with that in mind, I could really use ideas on ways I can touch up mid to late afternoon if my under eyes are looking dry and creasy or the marionette lines are looking the same -
What can I dab on or spray or manifest over, on top of product the add hydrated coverage and smoothing?
So soothing to listen to her and even better to watch her transformation to gorgeous but not overdone 👍
Everything is beautiful Alexandra. Well done
Love this soft look
You’re like a makeup DJ with your effective product remixes :)))
Underrated comment
In wintertime, with the heating on, I need a rich primer in certain areas. I discovered glycerine, which is used as a humectant in skincare. It works perfectly and does not cost a lot… and a drop goes a long way.
I just LOVE this look, So fresh and dewey looking. ✔
Omg YOUR NAILS like such a pretty color and effect! Pls show us!!!
Alexandra just wanted to tell you in looking up how to sculpt my face I came across you. I feel that was my lucky day. You are the best makeup artist I have ever seen on RUclips and I have seen many. Your makeup techniques are flawless and amazing. Thank you❤❤❤
I’m one of your Rephr feedback babies and I CAN NOT WAIT TO GET THE NEW ONE! I LOVE my P38!!
This is my favorite look-
so fresh and pretty!
❤
I love mixing products together with foundations with serums ect ect but I never thought of mixing 2 primers now that is brilliant!!!! Thanks🎉😊
This is the exact eyeliner I need to do and you explain it so well, love all your content
LOVE literally all of your videos. You always have the best little tips and tricks. Also, your nails always look so nice. Nail video soon perhaps...?
Oooh. Flawless and gorgeous. Great tips! Love your videos.!
The Seine is the river flowing through Paris ;) Thanks for this look, I will try it for an upcoming photoshoot.
Watching you this morning and following along. You're so pretty. Thanks for sharing your everyday look
Love this simple look! What shade was the etude contour palette in?
Light 💕
I saw your video using drugstore products and now this... I WANT EVERYTHING FROM THIS VIDEO 😀😀 those Givenchy powders 😍

This feels very silky and has been really good for my rosacea, taking down the redness. The skin around my eyes has been more hydrated and imo a little lighter. Its definitely worth the try.
Many blessings!!!💖💖💖
The brush that you're using on your face looks so fluffy and beautiful!
