I researched pallet dismantling tools and bought this. It is the easiest tool to use to remove pallet boards. On regular pallets using 2x4s, there is nothing that can compare to this. The ability to change the angle of the tool to the handle is great. However, I got a batch of pallets with 4x4s for the outside rails and the 'u' shaped part of the tool was just a little too narrow to straddle the 4x4s. We were finally able to use one edge of the tool to wedge the top boards off, but it was more effort. The only thing I could recommend to the manufacturer in the future would be to widen the gap between the two fork tines to allow for removal of boards off 4x4s. Great product! It will really save you time and physical effort in breaking down pallets.
My friend invented the Extractor, but my Nail Jack and Nail Hunter actually deal with nails that are flush or imbedded! That's the big difference Let's TALK!
+axxman You can use the nail puller on the Bull Bar if you like or we have a tool that is perfect for getting nails, staples, etc. out as well. www.crescenttool.com/crescent-np11-11-nail-puller-pliers.html Hope that helps.
The built in nail puller and the indexing head sold me.

It's the best tool I found to take apart a wood pallet, but isn't $281.00 a little too steep for it?
