This deck is defnitely one of my favorite decks to play right now, and as toxic as it sounds, I am excited for the new Azmina (or however you spell it 👀) cards to come out that synergizes with this deck.
I love seeing Chimera deck profiles. I can tell I'm already going to like the video

I think the patchwork engine is mandatory on chimera rn, the more fusion spells you see the more you can play around handtraps. Yes getting drolled feels awful but depending on your hand you can play around it
Also, since you’re a chimera enjoyer I’ll leak something that I’ve found recently. Especially if you don’t play the edge imp package start Main decking one copy of Diabolica, its actually insane in this deck. You can dump her from aerial eater early in the FS combo and get an Engraver back or add any other fiend to your hand from grave. It’s also not a brick in hand since she summons herself and becomes one more card you can fuse with (dark fiend)

@@yoboisteisy9192 Lacrima was banned so the deck kind of lost the adding back from the grave effect. Diabolica solves this issue and makes you be able to play through most interruptions and extend your combos
Even if you draw her it’s not a brick since she can get special summoned from hand, on chimera it’s also another dark fiend to fuse with.
I’m main decking 1 copy of Diabolica and 1 Foolish burial and Everytime I got into the fiendsmith combos it literally feels like I’m cheating lol
@@yoboisteisy9192also I’d I were you I’d tweak the extra deck a bit. Take off one guardian chimera for chaos angel because of how insanely easy it is to just end games with it. You can make it with apprentice + MSK and most decks cannot deal with it (including snake eyes).
I’d also remove lars for a copy of cross sheep, it feels insane to have another beast monster in the extra deck to fuse with on the opponents turn, plus extends combos.
Replace desirae for aerial eater we have enough negation with caesar and desirae eats too many resources
@@sul7718 two guardian chimera has come up for me especially in those grindy games. I’m just waiting for the reprint of chaos angel so i can play it. I also feel like fiendsmith’s desarie and predaplant dragosteplia are flex for sure. Predaplant dragosteplia is there if my opponent opened the duster before they start building a board so worst case scenario I make an extra negate on the board.
I like the look of the list! I love the Edge Imp package but losing to Droll just sucks, I still need to do a little testing to see if I like Desirae as Aerial Eater is a good starter if you open 2 Light Fiends or a Berfomet and Chain, I think the builds will either be with the Chain Package and Handtraps, or Boardbreakers and no Chain Package depending on how the Meta looks
It’s still too early to tell what the meta will look like but I think that this list is good off of pure speculation of what might be good and deal with rogue decks that want to make themselves known
Extra deck looks good. I have Chaos Angel still in mine. He comes in on the grind games. I've been putting the fur imp package in and out of my deck for the last month or so. It's hit or miss for me.
Once the new Duke of Demise fusion monster comes out, the edge imp package might make a comeback for sure giving you the extra normal summon
Patchwork for board breaker variant only, hand trap variant is mid though
Just wondering, is running branded chimera / melodious chimera still viable?
@@dazais5689 definitely melodius chimera is still very viable. You just need to replace apollusa and Beatrice (not sure if people played in that variant).
Branded chimera is definitely worth exploring. The branded fusion limit was supposed to stop the branded engine from being splashed in other strategies, but it depends on how many despia/branded cards you play as well.
Melodious is still cracked, think of it like a cheaper fiendsmith engine but just can't swap in and out of. Branded is pretty mid now. I tried usijng it on masterduel and its great if you can open brandedfusion but theres just better options now
