I sometimes met people who didnt like me because I am half German, but most people were just curious and had more of a positive prejudice (Especially the women 😁) . I often got hired simply because of my German background. She might have been partly jewish because in new york there are many people with jewish heritage. The young German tourists did nothing wrong, so her behaviour is pretty embarrassing.

I mean, technically, native Americans are also descendents of immigrants. If you go back far enough, everyone is descended from immigrants, unless you live in the regions of Africa where humans first evolved and none of your ancestors ever left, but I don't know if anyone like that even exists.

I know how Germans behaved in Mallorca and I think that the woman freaked out for a reason. She was drunk and the guys were making fun of her. Anyone would be angry if a foreigner made fun of them because they had been drinking. The guys ruined her life for a long time.

In Germany, we have a term for this: "fremdschämen". The feeling of shame for someone else who has done something embarrassing.
