I loved the photo essay of your Grom adventures. Thanks for the awesome video. I got a G310GS baby adventure bike for my 60th birthday to do some traveling and moto camping, in the southeast US at first, but hopefully the desert southwest next fall.
I'm from Tennessee too and have a 2015 looks just like yours..I'd sure like to go on a road trip on the Grom. I didn't realize you could run them that long🤯
Yep! I had an R6 when I bought the Grom, but I sold it after a year because I was always riding the Grom. I'm hoping to get back on another full size bike soon though.
loved your video. the Bristol sign caught my attention right away. I was born and raised in Bristol. I live in Wise Va. now but still go to Bristol often. My wife and I have Honda Groms and Kawasaki z 125's. would love to meet and ride with you sometime. If your ever over in Wise Va. Tacoma mtn. road is one of the most awesome little roads to ride.
Cool! I've been in Bristol for about 6 years now, but I'm originally from Council (Buchanan/Dickenson county line) I have a lot of family that live in Wise/Norton. We'll definitely have to go for a ride sometime.
It made it to 50k! And the 2nd one just died yesterday at 82k (33k on engine) There's a video on my channel that goes into detail about what I've done to it mechanically over the years.
@@Two_Wheel_Deel Does Honda have a mileage standard for their engines? I'm curious what my Rebel 500 will get to, I'm at 38k miles. Riding 15k miles per year.
90% of my rides are within 2 hours of home, so I just know the routes to take that are safe at 55 mph. Wherever I go on longer rides I just use the "avoid highways" option on Google Maps. The only time I'll get on the freeway is on my way to work for about 5 miles because it cuts 10-15 minutes off my commute, and traffic moves fairly slowly on I-81 in southwestern VA.
I will use it as a commuter( brand new). But will the engine wear out for short trips to work? Work is 4 milles. And ones a week i'll go to my dad and thats 40 mins away.
It should be just fine. A lot of my riding has been short trips like that. I don't wait for my engine to warm up, I just immediately go 100% throttle and redline it...lol. Taking a longer ride every now and then will help though, since it'll allow the oil to get warm enough to burn away any moisture inside the engine case.
All short trips is hard on any vehicle with a combustion engine. It's better to be hard on a small and cheap 125cc engine than a big car. (though 4 miles isn't super short, so the engine will be warmed up for ~85% of your 4 mile drive to work)
Yeah I looked up Honda Grom life expectancy and it said between 120,000 and 130,000 but then I look at all these high mileage forums and people are talking about “oh mine has 8000 on it” “mine has 13,000 on it going strong” and I’m just thinking that is a very big fucking difference what is going on there? And how long will one actually last?
625 miles in one day on a Grom. The man.
absolutely awesome. wish you had detailed videos when performing maintenance! thank you, enjoy!
👌🏼
Holy shit 70k miles! Some people don’t even put a thousand on their bike a year!
What regular maintenance did you do yourself? Were there any break downs or repairs you couldn’t DIY?
Cool slideshow !
Enjoy the grom life buddy and ride safe

I really like those bikes..and the Versys 300 too.
How has the m4 been? I have one on my z125, just I don’t like the backfiring when i slow down
Very good !!

You actually use your bike an not just let it sit in the garage not being used
Great video! I just picked up a Halloween Orange Grom after riding a CBR600RR for 10+ years. Grom is more fun!

Nathan Deel I feel you. I still enjoy my CBR, but the Grom is nice when I want to rip and not worry about the cops or just go for a cruise

How is the bike doing now in 2022? Any updates? Thanks and God bless 🙏
How many miles did you manage before replacing the engine? Keep it up! 100k isn't that far away for you!

Super dope
You need to make some more videos on the Grom!!!!
how long do you think it would have run had it been left stock?
That’s awesome! So you never get on the freeway? Backroads only? Do you pre-map all of your rides?

Awesome video man I was wondering what tires would you recommend?
