This stuff was too sophisticated for people to get their heads round. You either listened to hip hop or grunge…everyone slept through this.
Exactly! I gravitated quickly to Jamiroquai early on because there was no one at the time in the 90s making the kind of music he was doing. My go to genres was house, jungle, electronic, jazz, funk, dance, and R&B/soul music. When I discovered Jamiroquai, I felt like I found a musical jackpot of all my favorite genres combined as one through his music. Lol! Loved his music then just as I still do today. It's a shame that he's not as well known here in America because he's so incredibly talented.
@@ta5393 there were quite a few bands from back then, especially in the UK, which we’re into this genre of music (they called it “Acid Jazz” in the UK). You should check them out. In fact Jamiroquai first rehearsed for one of them as a lead singer but was turned down!
