I've just booked myself the 2020 Alza S in Manual which is the base model. I've decided to go with the Alza because it is the cheapest brand new van in the market. I mean RM49k, there's literally no competition in that price bracket. Saying that, i got the Alza because i've just started my business and I need massive cargo space to carry my valuable equipments. Which is funny because the Alza is known as a family car & im just a single male who dont even like kids. But hey its pretty bang for your buck all things considered.
I'm not even thinking of buying an alza, just admiring the "impossible" car review delivered in world class manner by you Aiman. Keep up the good work!!
Thanks for the review. If I were to choose between Myvi and Alza how economical are they in terms of fuel consumption, maintenance cost and price of parts?
FC-wise, the Alza definitely drinks a small amount more, but it's negligible. As for maintenance and parts prices they're broadly similar, given that they share so much under the skin. Unless you desperately need two extra seats we'd recommend going for the Myvi, which is far more refined, safer, and smarter. Or if you do need two extra seats, consider the Aruz, which at least doesn't come with the dour image that the Alza offers as standard... Either way, the best deals on a new car are with us, so drop us an FB message and we'll be happy to put you in touch with one of our trusted dealers across the country.
Believe it or not, this has become my dream car. Yes, seriously! I used to want a large SUV 4WD, but that all changed when I got to experience the Alza one day when I booked a Grab car. It was easy to get into (don't have to hoist myself into it like I do with a truck), SO spacious on the inside yet looks small/medium on the outside, and fits 7 people! For such an affordable price. I could instantly see that as a single adult with no wife & kids, this would be the perfect vehicle to pick up my friends, go to the beach, go camping, go to Cameron Highlands, or even just transport some goods or help my friends move, or even just go shopping and put groceries or electronics in the backseat without issues. It's too small for a big family, but it's perfect for a single person or a childless couple or a few friends who want a little extra room without breaking the bank.
Oh yeah and the bench seats. I forgot, they are one of the main appeals that drew me to this vehicles. I LOVED being able to spread out without any uncomfortable barriers or armrests digging into my sides. And it intrigues me that the driver and front seat passenger can do the same and customize it with or without an armrest. Bench seats are so much better than bucket seats!
Alza 1.5 auto not suitable to use driving on mountainous roads, not enough power, very2 slow, but if you still want to then buy the alza 1.5 manual gear, I live in Kota Kinabalu and my village is situated in the Highlands of Ranau, but for city use should be okay, but I recommend the bigger exora
Hi, I kidda confuse on it... Does new alza still worth to buy it right now as the safety features are not compatible with the new myvi... Because the alza still using the old type tech whereas the myvi not... But the only advance part for alza is having huge space compare to myvi... Right now Im so lost 😢 can anyone give me some advice.. Really appreciate it
It's quite a difficult question for us to answer. Yes, we too feel that the Alza is sort of left-behind compared to the Myvi in terms of active safety & convenience features, and it really feels it. But as we said in the film, if you need alot of space and you want bulletproof reliability, the Alza is sort of the only choice right now. We could recommend the new PROTON Exora but, with a turbocharged engine, maintenance costs are expected to be slightly higher, but you do get a much larger car with better refinement, performance, and capability. But if your budget doesn't stretch that far, then again, the Alza is the default choice. But you mentioned the Myvi a couple of times - which leads us to ask, do you really need the extra two seats? We find the bootspace in the Myvi to be perfectly adequate for 90% of instances, and the Myvi is a truly good car, one that we don't ever hesitate to recommend. Beli Myvi aja la, or better yet, buy one through us. :D
@@MalaysianMotoring I like the infor u give. Very helpful. I am also considering for a new car. Already drove my Exora 2011 so many years ...wanted to get new car, no one can beat Exora at that price range & space. But at times I feel with the extra space, I tend to put lot more unessary stuff.
@@SuperTww, the facelifted Exora will likely be a good suit for you. The Alza feels dated, while the Exora does not. Further, you'll miss the extra space that the PROTON affords. Surprisingly. We think the engine here has a slightly different tune from the Myvi & Aruz in order to accommodate for the bodystyle. It's very good on the highway, and pretty perky in town.
Bagi kami, we would advise getting the SE. The AV only gets things like leather seats, touchscreen infotainment system and that DVD player on the roof. If you want, you can tambah the GearUp seat covers and the touchscreen infotainment system and still save over the AV. I'm just wondering about one thing.. Is that true the aircond in this new alza is more cooler from front to the third row seats?? By just adding two little vents?? No other piping system whatsoever?? Come on..is that true guys??
Yes, it is. They upgraded the cooling system extensively, and they added the two fixed vents that are specifically designed to reach the third row. You can choose not to believe us if you'd like, but we'd have likely garnered alot more views if we'd titled this video as 'Alza's New Aircond Vents Are A Total Lie.' But we are not liars. And neither is Perodua.
Not really doable. The Sienta has sliding rear doors because the body is meant to accommodate it. The Alza's chassis cannot be modified to handle that kind of weight in the middle of the frame. Additionally, the Sienta is quite a bit longer than the Alza; If the Alza's doors slid backward, they'd exceed the length of the car.
@@MalaysianMotoring the cost was unreliable not to include cruise control, compared with other countries, actually, we're left many components with same a price. so pity Malaysian owner

with myvi already get new design and new tech.. Alza also soon be evolve... looking forward to..
Us too, us too.
For me, at the back it almost looks like Serena but if it has proton new design replacing the logo would look very much alike.

Suggest Perodua Axia MOD the rear passenger door to slide door, like Toyota Sienta
