Do you remember the settings you used for this I'm bringing my new GP7 to Mammoth this weekend and I would like some footage that looks as good as yours, thank you!
I think I used linear mode. 1920x1080. 60fps. Hope that helps! I was in mammoth a couple weeks ago and conditions were fantastic. Awesome coverage. Period. Not even just for this time of year. Have fun!
10 foot straight drop + lip before they installed the machine to shave the overhang, which I recall was around 1982.
I remember many years in the 70s and 80s there would be a 10 foot straight drop off at the top.
And a lip over the drop (true "cornice") before the machine that shaved it was installed, if I remember before the 1982-83 ski season

Did you stabilize the clip with any external software? Or does the Hero7 just come out that smooth?
@Jason - nope, straight out of the camera. No post processing applied.
@@AllenMAu Did you at least have the 4K setting on? Either way, great shot!
@@jcanale2011 nope, not 4k. Just 1920x1080. I did use 60fps though. Hope that helps!
Wow I can’t believe how I’d be at the bottom already
Would you consider this as a hard black or an easy black
For Mammoth, it's definitely one of the easier blacks.
@@AllenMAu Why is it called double black diamant then?
trust me, it's not easy...
@@mangelpaaideer I agree it's not easy. (Btw, Cornice Bowl is a single black)
@@AllenMAu no it's double black diamond. You can even buy a shirt, that says "I conquered Cornice Bowl" or something.
Wayyyy too many kooks up there
