I was going to buy this bike the other day.. Out here in Los Angeles.. 22k miles on it, beautiful.. Same year.. Guy wanted $2300 US for it. So I go look at it.. He brings it out, starts it up, and it immediately coughs... So he has to rev it from shutting off it seemed like...So he revs it, warms it up.. Then he takes it up and down the block a few times, it sounds and moves AMAZING !!! He brings it back to the curb, parks...let's it idle.. Then that bike started acting WEIRD !!! It did not sound like a normal idle. Seemed like it twitched, or glitched. Like an irregular heartbeat.. High and low.. Once he shut it off, I looked around the bike again, still in GREAT shape, beautiful...but then I saw like neon blue / green caked on coolant on the bottom area of the bike, like a leak of some sort that hardened. I dunno, I really wanted the bike but those two issues made me walk away.
Fucking Nice!!!! I have the same bike and am trying to hook it up. Where did do get that odometer/speedometer? I would like to see if it fits mine. Thanks
How do you Changed your speedometer? You have an Plan for the wiring?

I’m looking at a 2001 sv650 with 40k miles for $750 but the guy says it won’t rev past 6-7k rpm . He said he’s changed the spark plugs but that didn’t fix it. Any idea what it might be ?
sounds fuel related, could be a dirty filter, dirty carbs, out of sync carbs, or it could even be as far as needing a valve adjustment
What dash is that? I have a 2001 sv and hate the old looking speedometer and tach.
some ebay tach, id advice you get the one with the black face, the white face is the knockoff of that knockoff and the wiring sucked

What modifications you did to the tail part ? Mine looks bulky and i want to make it look like yours
