Thanks for the info, I've been wanting to get a Quad Lock mount, and after watching your video, I think I will impatiently wait and see how yours holds up. I really like your channel as an owner of a 2023 N1K, you have been very helpful.
Glad it has helped! For the Quad Lock - so far it is still strong as when I installed it. I'm going to be giving it a little extra force to speed up the "testing" process over the next couple days (supposed to be really nice weather).
@@BlueEyedRider84 at 5:40 you talked about switching to the pro mount screw, I didn't purchase the pro mount but I'd like to know the size of that black bolt, M5 for sure but how long is the question?
Thanks. I as well went with standard mount and it was useless after about two weeks. I ordered the pro mount on a hunch and then came across your video. Thanks for confirmation and hope this works well.
Hi buddy! You can’t imagine how happy I am to find your channel! Just got a ninja 1000sx and I do need to do some changes to it (like installing the 12v socket). It would be awesome if you can make a video on how to hook the usb from Quad Lock to the battery :D
Glad you enjoy the channel, thanks for watching! For the quad lock, I actually used a USB adapter that I ran up the frame arm: p.blueeyedrider.com/accessories/motopower/usb-port-kit The issue with this is it is not 100% waterproof, however - Quad Lock has introduced a waterproof 12v to USB adapter: p.blueeyedrider.com/accessories/quad-lock/usb-adapter I would hook it up to my switched fuse block (p.blueeyedrider.com/accessories/electop/fuse-box) so that it doesn't drain the battery that I added on in this video: ruclips.net/video/BlKyDTLiybg/видео.html You can connect it directly to the battery as well, but I recommend remembering to turn off the wireless charging head so it doesn't drain the battery
Thank you for the vid man, was looking for diff solutions, saw people have many issuses mounting anything on stem, handelbars, etc., saw couple of comments over YT that it comes out of the stem, so looking forward on your update...btw where did you connect wireless charger,
So my wireless charging head is connected to a USB socket I ran up the side of the frame. Goodmorning, I have purchased the Mount fork stem Mount pro but my Kawasaki ninja 1000sx 2023 is a lip at top tube type. Please advise how I can install the Mount safely. Already I have bought the vibration dumper and the case. Your video is very useful and really appreciate your effort. The system still works good? Thank you for your attention and your prompt reply. I have a 650 and the non pro and it lasted less than two weeks, ordered the pro version which comes tomorrow as I heard it solves the problem and then saw this video. Looks promising. The handlebar pro mount doesn't fit the. 650 bars either so hopefully this resolved
It can be slightly inconvenient but I can start the bike without issue. The inconvenience is I have a keychain garage door opener and sometimes it gets wedged, but without it there wouldn't be an issue
I prefer the Zumo XT and keeping my phone on me. If you're in an accident, you may not be able to get to your phone to call for help. You also don't need to worry about having maps downloaded to the phone when you use the Garmin if you are in an area with no cell reception. The height with the screen mount is also better. You don't have to look down as far, allowing you to keep your eyes toward the road while riding.
I was afraid that the fork stem mounds would not fit on Z1000sx/Ninja1000 because of the Alan nut on top, according to your vid there is no problem fitting this mount in the hex/alan hole?
With the standard mount you would have an issue. With the PRO mount it's shaped and works slightly different. Have had it installed for a while now and have had zero issues.
@@armandblake what model do you have? I have the 2019 Z1000SX tourer and was looking to get the pro mount with the black friday sales since it seemed to hold up, but then ran into your comment... also, I have the original GPS mount: anything I can do to use that and spend less money that you know of?
@@pcpandemic3394 I have Ninja 1000sx so pretty much the same with different dashboard and exhaust. Stem is the same as mine. I got it to work but I used the bigger plates with elastic and fed it through the stem from the bottom using a garden hose. Also put 1 layer of tape on the hex stem that goes into the hole on top so doesn’t wiggle. Not ideal but seems secure enough now. Genuine Kawasaki tank bracket is probably the best solution though

I currently have a RAM mount on my N1K but this looks like a much improved system. Looking forward to the review.
As for the mount itself, I definitely prefer the quad lock over the RAM. The only trick is if the stem mount holds. So far it hasn't budged.

Yes, with the pro mount it works with the lipped hex opening, just pop it in and tighten it down. It never loosened and worked great for me.
