Yup I love Motorola am a #1 fan.
Well if you compare these two folding phones side by side the razor looks terrible. It's using a Snapdragon 710 which is lower mid-range at best, and the screen is made of a plastic that feels really plasticy compared to the Z Flip's plastic screen which feels much more like glass. The Razr also has subpar cameras and much worse dust resistance than the z flip. And the razor costs more than the Z flip. End of story, Z flip wins

It isn't marketing 'bluff'. It's actual glass, as in the glass we use in windows. It's just so thin that it is possible to bend it.
If you have ever touched really thin sheets of rock, which is similar in molecular construction to glass, you'll understand that glass DOES bend if it's thin enough.
The glass, however does have a thin protective layer of plastic on top of it, so it won't be as resistant to scratches as the current glass used in bar- type smartphones.

Because it has glass, if you compare it with the fold, you will feel the difference. It only has a plastic layer abough. And it isn't that sensitive when it comes to scratches, because you need more force to scratch it.

It cracks so much easier because it's curved glass, you can see that the glass started braking from the edge, where it's curved. Plastic can't break, but it feels much cheaper than glass. And at that price, we should at least get a glass back.

This was such a creppy, based review!
1. First of all I don't like when reviewers say stuff like, "down right ugly chin". That's what's called DESIGN. Some will like it, some will not. I much prefer the RAZR design with the chin included, because it instantly gives you that clamshell feeling, while the Z flip when open looks like a nothing special $200 smartphone...
2. Also critiquing the RAZR for the different approach with the folding screen: the fact that the screen is not fixed on the sides to allow the gapless fold: yes, it will allow you to put your finger underneath the display, but why would you do that? And yes, it will do worse of a straight up drop test when you intentionally drop it your phone on hard concrete, but the zero gap construction lets a lot less dirt get into the phone when folded, an dirt and such things can cause damage to even the Samsungs "fake glass" display! So it might be more fragile to DROPS, but in real life it will serve you better as you can Carry it in your pocket or in your bag without having to worry what will slide in-between the top and bottom half of your phone...

It really seems like you are biased against the Razr. Let me clarify some of your facts that were incorrect in a way.
1) Plastic Front Screen on Razr: It's made of glass, not plastic.

3) The reason why the screen makes that noise is because they have no crease in the middle to limit the feeling of it. Their hinge causes the noise but it is necessary.

Plastic build for 1500$? Yea, no thanks. And also that hinge on the razr is making those noises cuz it's bad. When reviewers first got the phone they said the hinge is great etc, then a few days later you hear all about that noise the hinge makes because it is not durable at all

1 more thing...samsung phone isn't made of glass(the screen) as you can see at jerryrigeverithing channel's,because glass is glass,and glass don't resist any fold🙃

In a normal, careful use, you'll never encounter such extreme forces to your mobile, so you're all good with plastic. The only thing I agree with you is the fact that Motorola seems to use plastic gears for their folding mechanism, which causes those odd sounds. Should've used surface hardened metal instead... And still, the mechanism is technologically ahead of Samsung's, because it leaves the screen with almost no groove.

i agree that the first model razr motorola put out in 2019 had a lot of faults, it was it's first run. but motorola definitely has the best team when it comes to listening to customers and improving their product because the new motorola razr 5G is a way better phone than its predecessor. I'll definitely be looking into it before I do the samsung zflip. The nostalgia factor also is great on it.

I think they could make the z flip stronger by using polycarbonate/glasstic exterior as well. Polycarbonate scratches just the same but it wont break. And when scratched it has the same color underneath

The razr has an absolutely amazing build quality. Just because it's plastic doesn't mean it's bad. Plastic is actually more durable as far as scratching goes 😅
