As someone who afraid of firework this is the only show my entire family can watch without someone closing my ears
I miss this show! It was my favorite. I wish they would still present it :(

I have watched both in person and I dont fully get why people are upset both shows are extremely good, sure some elements were removed that I liked but it is far from show ruining. Most of the show stayed similar the main thing was the removal of the actors. I cant blame Disney as they were placing people on an autonomous boat every night getting soaked by the mist making it cold and slippery, that just sounds like a workers comp claim in the works.
They will probably continue to change this show every 2-3 years just like they di here in California with the world of color. These shows are built for ease of change through programming with minimal to no physical modifications.
So now that they announced Rivers of Light: We are One is leaving, do you think something completely different is coming or another rivers of light branded show is next.
Glad to see Brother Bear and Rescuers getting some love.

Should have use footage from a bug's life, dinosaur, the good dinosaur and zootopia
The first incarnation of this show was soooooo much better. They really dumbed it down. They don't even use a lot of the effects that those floats can perform.

The most beautiful show to come out of WDW in 20 years and it's been destroyed. I'm devastated.

@@KatrinaFelix Have you seen the show in person? The original was just that, very original. But then since the average WDW guest can't be entertained by that they went ahead and threw Disney characters all over it and changed the music to become more generic. You'd have to have seen the original to understand the frustration.

Yes, absolutely. For some reason, Disney thinks that every night time show in every Park needs IP.
@@joemazz958 Sad part is, people respond to IP better these days. Look at how popular the Beauty and the Beast Sing A Long at Epcot is compared to Impressions de France.
Why not make a WORLD OF COLOR show like they have at DISNEY CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE park at the DISNEYLAND resort , it’s much better and would work very nicely at the ANIMAL KINGDOM PARK, don’t you think?

Great video! But the new show is definitely skippable. I saw the original version and was blown away.
Definitely the best video I've seen. Sadly I'm still not impressed. I've been so desperate to see this show for so long. I'm finally visiting in August and I'm getting... this. I don't get why they had cut the most beautiful animal imagery. So many effects gone, esp. the gorgeous layered projection. Ugh. Thinking of cancelling my Dessert Party.

No longer a part of the show. They were actually cut last year

@@jaretalbaugh7034 Unfortunately I doubt that was ever the case as all of their puppetry was removed from the boats sails and replaced with animation clips.

What a mess. It’s like they took Rivers of Light, removed the more unique aspects and replaced it with clips from the Lion King. Don’t waste your time seeing this show.

@@toyaliens Did you work on this show or something? That's the only reason why I can think someone would be defending it. Every person in the Disney community so far has hated this new version. It's nothing but an empty shell of what it used to be now.

@@toyaliens Every single video of this show that's online has been slammed. People have been hating this in Disney message boards, on the Disney reddit. In every comment section. Afraid to break it to you dude, but my opinion is the same as everyone elses. This show sucks compared to the old one.
