Fantasmic holds a very special place in my heart. I'm a recovering addict, and while I was in the deepest depths of my addiction I had become completely numb. I could feel nothing, except when seeing Fantasmic. For the 30 minutes this show lasts I could feel again, it gave me hope that I wasn't to far gone. So happy it's back and love the updates! Fantasmic is the best thing disney has to offer!
And 25 years later since it was first performed, there is NO show on earth that tops Fantasmic when it comes to mixing family fun, familiarity, catchy show tunes, smoke, fire, water, lighting, laser, pyrotechnics, costumes, and production value. It's no high art, it's no Moliere, but it brings me back to the happiest place on earth. Every time.
I think it is worth pointing out that at 19:36, the Jafar snake is supposed to have two light beams coming out of it’s eye, but only one actually worked and got lit. So Disney closed of the light function because it was something we were not supposed to see. Also, at 23:48, the dragon breathed fire onto the river but the river didn’t light at all, bu Disney just kept going and let Mickey defeat the dragon as usual. These are the two “Plan B’s” that we never got to hear about and I think @TPMvids should make a new version of the Fantasmic bloopers and Plan B’s video.
Fun fact: Jafar as a snake is / was originally Kaa with the same light effect in Disneyland. I've never seen Fantasmic in Florida, so it may have always been Jafar there! Weirdly, every time I saw it in California, they never had an issue with the lights. I wonder why they do here - I feel like it's an easy enough effect. Depending on the weather, the fire might just not have caught. I know THAT would happen in DL, as well. Along with poor old Murphy just . . . Roaring at the sky sometimes! XD

Experiencing it in person is definitely one of the best! I remember seeing it for the first about 4 years at Disneyland in California and literally chills all over i cried cause i made one of my dreams come true after watching it for years on youtube thinking i would never see it live and now every time i visit i make sure to watch it at least once!🥹 I hope one day when you see this see this show in person it’ll be the best experience ever for you!❤️
This show is in Hollywood studios! I've never seen it before I went to Hollywood studios for the first time in May but it was closed for repairs. They also close it if there's rain which sucks if you're only there for a day. Hopefully when you visit one day, it doesn't rain or close for repairs!
Anyone else here after the unfortunate dragon animatronic explosion that just recently happened? That made me appreciate this amazing show even more. Its nice to engage in Disney every once in a while.
Wow I was a Cast member at Disney for a year from 2006 through 2007 and seeing the updated version of this is simply super fantastic wow I'm so glad I got to be a part of something magical as this
Hollywood studios was my home park for my DCP in 2019. I haven’t been able to go back since so I’m glad you were able to share this bc I miss shouting ‘that’s my boss’ at the beginning. Disney really is something special. Hopefully, I’ll be working there again as an imagineer🤞✨🫶
I'm Mexican. Yesterday I saw this show for the fifth time and honestly it never ceases to amaze and impress me more and more. Out of the 5 times I've been to DisneyWorld, I'll always consider it the BEST show I've ever seen in MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! 😍🌠✨💫⭐🤩
Easily the best show at Disney, gives me chills every time. My wife and I hadn't been to WDW for over 10 years since we became parents but we finally got to take our kids last month for the first time. It's difficult to stick around til park closure with a 4 year old and no mid-day hotel breaks, but we made an exception that day and left early to come back for Fantasmic. I'm SO glad we did, my kids loved it, my wife said it was a great idea to come back for it and I JUST LOVE THIS SHOW.
Fantastic views so glad you got the ending without someone standing up in front of you, I’m in a wheelchair and everyone starts rushing to get out as the boat goes by and often can’t see the ending. And if your a Disney junkie you don’t understand the story until Mickey is back down bottom in his regular clothes you need to take a second look. Like the updates much easier to see Mickey’s dreams wonderful job miss. My 2nd home! Absolutely loved it! THANK YOU
It’s so good to finally see an update to Disney World’s Fantasmic! While it may not be as “impressive” as Disneyland’s, at least it’s something new in the show’s history.
I’m glad most people can acknowledge that Disneylands is better haha sad Murphy was destroyed and I hope he can come back soon. I’d be excited to see WDWs in person though. At least they have stadium seating haha
I got almost perfect placement when I went with my folks the week of Thanksgiving because my dad was scooter bound and it was great having such a clear view but the best part was how blown away my mom and dad were after getting to see the show live for the first time. One thing I didn't know because I only just got one this trip, apparently if you have a magic band, it reacts in time with the show when you are watching

I love this silly, whimsical, and rather grandios show. I love the new updates for some of the other popular I.P. The Pocahontas part always seemed unusually long to me. I kinda wish they updated the Dragon too. It was impressive at first. But after you see it illuminated by the firework light. YOu see how barebones it is. Needs a look more like Tokyo Disney or even better, Disneyland Californias look.
I was worried Pocahontas was cut out. I feel bittersweet about her getting MORE of a feature, but missing the explosion that always jump scared me from ratcliffes canon
I am from the UK and was there with my mum in the June of 1996 it was fantastic.We arrived late and there was nowhere to sit luckily someone found a chair for my mum as she couldn't stand all that time i just sat on the floor in the front and watched it.
I appreciate that you posted this video my family and I haven’t been to Disney World for a good few years now and it seems every time we try to plan to go we don’t have enough money for it because it seems like every year prices seems to be going up and up and my family doesn’t have enough for it…hopefully one day I can revisit it I do truly miss Disney 😢

Looks like all that changed was the middle segment. I was at least hoping the dragon was updated, but nope. This was fun to watch, but I still much prefer Disneyland's version.

I just watched this live today for the first time... my little cousin was shouting every characters name, and when moana showed up she screamed auntie this one's for you! The people in front of us had seen this show 6 times before, but told us that she made this their favorite show. Let kids shout. Let's kids enjoy the show. Let them develop their excitement for the show on their own. Bc even my grump 14 year old moody brother had a good time. The couple in front of us also brought a 96 year old with them, it was her very first time at Disney world. This 96 year old women was sitting in the bleachers in front of me with her massive Mickey hands and was walking around joyfully after the show. No matter how old you are, Disney world finds its way to excite you, even on the hottest summer days.

They do a lot of melody projections montages in between a lot of the very short live performers But I do love the new things that was added and the old thing they took out They are still using some of the old projectors and speakers because it’s not as crips compared to the ones in Disneyland
They need fantasmic at disneyland paris, i mean animagique was great but really i want a new show there. Fantasmic would fit great in disneyland paris!

I'm glad it still has the cauldron scene. I was disappointed when it was taken out of Fantasmic 2.0 at Disneyland.
