Right. However, the party that set it up was the Jack Nicolson character who got off scot free. To me the hostess and the marshall are the same character at first contemptuous , then violent/agressive.The mistake the victim made was not to let the issue go. You really cannot make this stuff up.

I always thought this was a really good way of showing what projective identification is because it's simple to understand.
