Italian Greyhound

This guy can be so very gentle and extremely sensitive. He can be quite shy with people he doesn’t know. With kids he’s delightful and totally devoted - as he is with all the family. Kids and other dogs have to be careful with him though, he’s very delicate and can get easily injured if play gets too rough.
Like most Italians he loves the heat, he’s not a dog that appreciates the cold weather! Exercise wise, he needs a good romp or walk daily, but a decent play indoors would also be enough. If you take him to a safe, fenced area on a regular basis he’ll probably be your friend for life.
This little fellow is a smaller version of the mighty Greyhound, so he shares their traits and characteristics. The obvious one is running; and boy can he run! This breed is fairly unique though, in that they need their teeth cleaning on a regular basis.
Interesting facts: Although this breed has been around for centuries, no one knows exactly when and how he came into being. He was incredibly popular around the Victorian times, but unfortunately his popularity and quality declined.
