New content like Kara is what make SOD good. If we would have gotten something new like Kara in every phase(even if it wasnt on Kara's scale), I think a lot more people would be playing today.
P1, we got runes, new quest, ashenvale PvP. P2 we got blood moon event. P3 we got incursion. P4 we got blackrock event, and probably something else. P5 demonfall canion? Or was it p4? P6 don't know didn't play.
yo kag you should put a diff embiance music, you always put org background you should go in TB whith that happy music. Otherwise great video man keep going its your time to shine in that phase and be big youtuber for SOD
This is the pivotal point at which classic can end and classic+ can begin… they’ve added and revamped spells and specs now it’s time for brand new content.
Phase 7 is okay. I took a break last season and just came back - it's fairly enjoyable but it just feels like there's so much to do that it's hard to keep up unless you prioritize the game like a second job.
i like the dificulty of KC, only thing i really wish they would change is the torch distance. If they intent it to only show stuff 2 feet in front of you, they should darken everything else more. The way its animated gives a false sense of visibility. If they extended the range by just 3 yards it would be so much nicer.
I think a lot of Classic players that haven’t played retail don’t really understand borrowed power and why it *can* be good if done right. If the power resource can be maintained while just playing the game normally and doesn’t require excessive daily farming (like Legion) and RNG reliant (Legion and Shadowlands) The problem with BP in retail was when you went into the next expansion without it, you lost all of your haste/buffs and your character just felt bad to play. A simple %damage increase was the best way to do it. Once we get out of Naxx and are wearing full T3, our characters will still feel great to play.
Kara by itself is a huge win. I'm all for criticizing blizzard on all the shitty content such as incursions in P3, but we all should praise and encourage them to make more of what is actual classic+ content like Kara.
With Naxx SoD says farewell to classic, and the season. And hello to Plus. The Scarlet Enclave is big news for Plus. A surprise addition, of an opened up pocket of land. With a quest chain or two attached. FP and what not... would be the big news of winter 2025. And mean SoD is still the test realm for classic's future.
Like a level 50 pocket region where we get our hero class DK. But no rune vendor. Let them be the reward for doing the quests in the pocket region. Further down the road they could also introduce worgs and goblins. But let them choose horde or alliance at the end of their questchains. And make the catastrophes only pocket region wide. Not global. Never CATA. Just harvest it for dungeons, new regions and new classes.
All they need to do now is add the t 2.5 and bwl class specific items on the reel vendors. It's so hard to find an aq40 group and the bwl items seem to be what everyone needs it feels bad going into bwl for 4 months and not getting the bis item for your class. I feel like it would be a huge W for new and returning players that they can catch up and know they can get the new relevant gear. p7 is great but it could be even better with this fix. Nax gear is useless in the open world.
I definitely agree. AQ40 runs on my server (wild growth) are becoming rare and 2.5 is so good for a lot of classes. They also need to put ZG trinkets on the Real vendor. That’s long overdue and would get a lot more into farming prior phase content for the newbies and alts. I’d like to also add, why isn’t Darkmoon Faire up every week now and at both locations. One or the other would be great, I play on a PvE server, but it’s always been odd to me that the DMF buff is time and location limited.
phase 1 was bis imo. We were legit "discovering" no data mined shit, no ptrs, new skills new loot, new locations, new quests. We got to min max low lvl chars which was fun having a lvl 25 twink, Phase 7 is gg though. favorite phase since launch
Me too. First time in naxx. It’s a blast. And as a paladin blade of inquisition dropped for me first run. I wanted MoM. But. I’ll take the sword. Good video for a stinky horde. Maybe we will run into each other and kill each other. Hahaha
As someone that never played classic before sod I think I preferred phase 4. Getting lvl 60 with all the endgame dungeons, ony and mc seems like it had a lot compared to this which is just a dungeon and a raid. KC and naxx have both been fun though
What version of wow do you recommend a returning player to focus on? So many options. It has been years since I played but I had a lvl 80 hunter and warrior on the uldur realm pve
I loved phase 7 at first but the bugs left a sour taste in my mouth. The Naxx hard modes being tuned incorrectly on launch and the Dark Riders bugging out over every little thing has been frustrating. The fact that optional bosses drop very BiS items make finding groups awkward as well. Basically my Hunter only needs the bow from KC but I’ve yet to see it as 5 of my 10 runs resulted in the last boss despawning or Kharon not being able to be summoned.
SoD got snubbed in last year's event..umm.. Warcraft Direct??? Many assumed it was over and bailed. What if SoD was put off... just until winter when most wow is in a lull. A continuous running test realm. With the SoDcore baked in as testers.
Naxx is great and all but for solo players its rough out there. the lack of players during primetime and the constant battle against HR's, having to spam /4 to find a group or travel 10min then wait another 10min for other players to arrive is super troll, Sod has lots of potential but im not having a great time, i'll raid log for awhile on my main but im going back to solo shuffle and plunderstorm on retail
I mean you can play the game however you want, by solo he probably means pugging, you cant play end game solo thats just not possible. You dont like guilds, dont like HR, dont like waiting to find a group... These types of players always complain, they are never the one organizing stuff, just want everything to be ready for them when they decide to log in every now and then.
first couple runs was fun, once dark rider started to glitch every other run and people were all fighting on which apprentice to kill kinda ruined it for me haven't met anyone that enjoys running it anymore.
I agree kara is good content - I'd love for it to be on a 2-3 days CD so its not daily and people dont get burn out of it in general. For the sanctified thingy I disagree completely... complex systems and complex powers that have nothing to do with vanilla imho. I would love for them instead of working on sanctified pieces and gear and powers etc to just release 3-4 kara-like dungeons all together for people to enjoy. - Again I dont wanna shit on kara, its quite good but at the same time repeating only that on a daily basis is getting tiresome very fast.
New content like Kara is what make SOD good. If we would have gotten something new like Kara in every phase(even if it wasnt on Kara's scale), I think a lot more people would be playing today.
Absolutely, DFC was a good start :)
Except Kara is bugged for like a week now

did our first guild naxx last night, quite a few players had never been before, it was a blast
That’s how I felt

Where do u recommend a retuning player play? Classic? Sod?
@@BarfclipsClassic fresh
SoD
I’d want classic + to be a completely fresh experience with sod testing aspects of it like betas for new raids

That's a good complaint to have. Too much to do? Sounds like a win to me.
SOD become best version of WOW ever and im verry happy i didnt leave after bad phase 3 like most of the people
Well said! Me too!
its pretty good, wish i had my alt to 60 before this but been slacking major and theres just not enough time in the day lol

Might be too easy then
Phase 1 was goated, Loved that early game play. Not a fan of sanctified, But ill give it time to work on me.
Yeah Phase 1 was great, I keep going back and forth on if I liked it more or not

Just noticed a change with the Sleeping Bag quest. The Sturdy Lunchbox is now BoP.
Haven't done a Sleeping bag run since P5

YES SIRRRR I can’t wait
Best phase ever, saludos desde Chile ❤
YES SIRRRR! I’m guessing that is Hello from Chile? If cause hello from the USA
We had 25, trinket at one and did two chonks of it in 2 hours - casual guild, pretty chuffed.
I want more secrets in crypts. I have yet to find a use for the engineering goggles.
Maybe more added later?
I think they’re going to add more bosses to kara as well. Could be wrong but in the dark rider room I wonder what that door with the skull is

Kara was fun the first time. Now I just want to zug it.
To each their own, I enjoy it still, I do wish there was a variety of possibilities in there however the same everything is a little stale
it is like 45 min dungeon
My theory on the secret boss is that it is the inquisitor that starts the hard mode, mainly because I see paladins HR his sword.
