Its true, most of the magazines just copy paste some news articles..ap sirf wohi point jot down karo which u found relevant aur jo point apko lage ki ap common sense se derive nahi kar pate

How to prepare with coaching notes and standard books...??
See do one thing..check pyq of both pre and mains and tally it with your coaching notes..if they are fulfilling the demand then no need to refer any other sources. Just stick to one resource
