    probably the best explained video of codesys. Every time I reconnect to my rpi and I don't remember anything I look at it and I think aaaaa of course, thanks

    Hello, I have a question: rasp can recognize usb ethernet adaptors? (those usb to eth cables).
    I wanna try to use ethercat master with softmotion but need 2 eth ports. One for tcp and other for ethercat...
    I use codesys with several different plc brands but they all cost too much and I am looking for somth cheaper.

    One question, I'm doing an investigation work for my university and i'd like to know if there are any limitations besides the 2 hours use, if I don't get the License from Codesys and i use the Demo. Thanks, and very good job, it really helped me

    Sad news for us folks in the US, seems that Rockwell has decided it doesn't like CodeSys making things available to people who are interested in PLCs without paying multiple thousands of dollars for hardware. It looks like RW has put their patent lawyers to work hobbling a US version of codesys which doesn't include the web interface module. :-(

    Please help..
    I bought Raspberry pi 3 and by default it has IPv6 switched on.. I can't switch it off and work with IPv4 so I can work on this project.. And I would really want to adapt R_Pi3 for codesys because I use it for a few years on some really expensive PLCs..
    Thanks in advance..

      Hi! Well I also had the same problem initially but the solution was pretty simple. Once you turn on ur RBP, goto preferences & enable SSH. Reboot and now try again

    Hi, I'm using Raspberry with Codesys using a PSOC 5LP in order to expand the raspberry I/Os. I'm using i2c bus, but when the data is received on raspberry, it started to oscillate between 255 and the true valor. I've used the pull up resistor (4.7 Kohm), but it still not working as well as I wanted. What`s wrong?

    can you please explain your hardware configuration , also in case of extension of gpio pins what should be done to increase numbers of gpio pins, also what should be done to take analog input/output, what are hardware is available for it and how to program using codesys?

      Soon I will be making a video how to connect a esp8266 with raspberry pi using codesys as software. This is a low voltage (3,3V) chip that has WiFi on board. And will function as remote Io. It's also possible to connect it with a Arduino for extra Io's.

    Is Runtime License installation a necessary step? I am encountering errors while updating Runtime package on raspberry from 'Update Raspberry pi' option. Although, I can download and run the application, the visualizations are not responding to the actions. I am confused whether this has anything to do with the licensing.. Please help

    Followed everything step by step but when i go to scan for my device to go online there is an error message "Scan Failed. Please check that the gateway is running and that it's settings are correct." Anyone know what this means? the gateway doesn't have a green circle next to it like in the video but instead has a red one. is there a step to set up the gateway that is not shown?

      i had the same problem, i just reinstalled the PI!
      the thing is to first update you PI in the codesys software, then when the raspberry pi is running and connected, push the codesys runtime package 'install' button.
      the Package will get installed to the PI. after that Push the start button below.
      then PI should be visible after scanning now!! or you can manually type the IP of your PI too.

    Ciao... Thank you for this video; i followed all your instruction but i'm not able to switch on the led. All is working: codesys program and online connection is active... i see, in the online in plc program and on the webvisu, the status led switch on and off but, physically, nothing happen.... The GPIO is ok ( i tested it by shell and WiringPI library ). Do you have some suggestion ?
    Thank you very much again.

      Damart Sandoval Dominguez are your GPIO set to inputs and outputs?

    • @DASDTUBE
      @DASDTUBE 5 лет назад

      Peter Evans yeah, actually I already fixed my issue. The problem was my raspbian version, the first time I tried installing it with NOOBS and for some reason that way it failed to work with CODESYS. But after using a digital image to replace the NOOBS version I was able to make the pins work with no change in the code or configuration.

    • @kevingroenendijk4681
      @kevingroenendijk4681  6 лет назад

      Murat İnan you want to use the other raspberry pi as slave you mean? In that case you should run codesys on both raspberry pi's. You must use then a communication protocol, like modus over TCP/IP. Then you can choose to run a program on the slave, or to couple the Io's directly.

    What is the possible reason that I can't reach it through 192.168.*.*:8080 ??

    • @DorinMocan
      @DorinMocan 7 лет назад

      maybe the firewall, maybe the port is closed?
      can you ping the 192.* ? (if pinging is not blocked also by the firewall)

      I'm having problems with webvisu too. I cannot connect with any browser to my 192.168.0.1:8080/webvisu.htm page. Why? Any clue? Program is running and I can see it running on Codesys (the internal visualization page is working)

      Buenas noches @Luis Angel tengo un pregunta que tal vez puedas resolver, espero si. Una vez que cargas el programa en la Raspberry y este esta corriendo ¿Es necesario tener abierto Codesys?, es decir, es independiente el programa en la rasp o Codesys funciona como SCADA.

    Eeehhh... not realtime, no wonder its only 35$. Non-realtime plc is kind of like a car without wheels. What you can do without realtime you can just as well do with scripts or whatever, applications that really benefit from plc control kind of demand realtime too. For example nc control where multiple axises of movement need to be coordinated.

    • @noijze
      @noijze 7 лет назад

      Raspberry's are meant to be used for educational purposes. there is no company in the world that would control there automation on a 35 dollar device. So your point is completely irrelevant

      Yes and no. I had to use a beaglebone black to communicate to atmel chips.
      Allen Bradley Plc to Beagblebone to atmel.
      It was the only thing we could think of to keep the cycle time down. And no this wasn't small scale. It was on a $5 million project. You've probably used the product it's creating.

    • @yalgret

      blkmagnum sounds really interesting but why the beaglEbone, why not just Pi to the AVR?
